Schmoopie 12-04-2009, 03:53 AM It wouldn't surprise me if this is the next soap to go. Such a shame too because when characters like Jack, Jennifer, Bo, Hope, Roman (aka John Black), Abe, Marcus (I miss Richard Biggs!) were on and all working together, it was an incredible show. So many memorable moments. They killed Days a long time ago with that stupid serial killer storyline where they killed off half of the cast and then pretended like it never happened. Just insane. NBC deserves to lose their only soap after allowing it to be trashed like that. catlover79 12-04-2009, 01:32 PM I DID hear it was renewed for 2010, but I would not be surprised if it is indeed the next soap to go. It's NBC's only soap left and they don't seem to care about soaps anymore, anyway. Plus, you all know how much we need a 12,000th hour of the Today Show. browneyes106 12-08-2009, 03:17 PM It wouldn't surprise me if this is the next soap to go. I think DAYS was really good in the 90's. gidgetgrape 12-08-2009, 03:28 PM I hated the serial killer storyline. It was awful. I think DAYS was really good in the 90's. The serial killer storyline is what made me stop watching it regularly. I started watching it in college in the late 90s and it was amazing. I'd hate to see it get axed though. Schmoopie 12-09-2009, 03:12 AM What I hate is the way they've treated Matthew Ashford. If it weren't for him, I would have never started watching Days in the first place. He and Melissa Reeves were magical as Jack and Jennifer. He is such an incredible actor and I am sickened by how they are just using him to "fill in" whenever they feel like it. Days has missed so many opportunities. catlover79 12-09-2009, 03:28 AM I hated the serial killer storyline. It was awful. I think DAYS was really good in the 90's. I agree. I remember my sister was a huge fan at the time - we were so into the Carrie/Austin/Sami/Mike story, and Jack/Jennifer/Peter, plus Bo/Hope/Billie. My sister had the HUGEST crush on Mark Valley (who was playing Jack at that time) - and I think he's the only guy she would ever leave her husband for. :joke: musicradio77 12-09-2009, 09:28 AM Now that "Passions" is out a few years ago, only one more to go. This is gonna be the same cancellation as "As the World Turns" when it ends next year. I don't watch "Days of Our Lives", but I've seen bits of pieces of it since I was a kid, but I do remember that scene from the movie "9 To 5" where Mr. Hart was watching "Days of Our Lives". That was the scene I remember from the film. Interesting! |
