Does anyone here enjoy watching ER?

I still like ER, but I don't enjoy it like I used to. It was best the first 4 seasons, IMHO.

I really liked it around the second and third year. Then they started to add all these cast members. The cast is way too big now. But I'll be watching when Sherry Stringfield (Susan, my favorite) returns on Thursday.

I watch it, but I agree it was so much better in the early days. The first two eps of the season have not been up to par and they need to hang it up at the end of the season.

I used to watch it every week but now I will only watch it once in a while.

I watch it too. I agree that the first few season were the best, but I'm hopeful that the storylines will get better.

Yes, I agree with everyone else that the first few seasons were the best. However, with Dr. Lewis's return and the cut back of some other characters I think she show could gradually get close to the way it used to be. I hope so anyway!

I enjoy it, although I haven't watched it for a bunch of the middle seasons. I watched like the first two, but Susan left, and she was my favorite, so I sort of lost interest. Then I got into it last year because I really really liked Lucy (I also like Kellie Martin) but they killed her off. harumph. But then I saw Susan was coming back, so of course I had to watch. I've seen every episode so far this season. It seems like they're getting rid of alot of people, Dave Maluchi (sp?) that young chick that "kills" people, looks like Peter may be getting a write-out....and it seems like there was one more....I can't remember who though. And it's only been like what, 4 weeks or something?

Malucci and Chen are gone. Cleo, Benton, and Greene are leaving sometime this season. i don't want Malucci, Benton, and Greene to leave http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

I wonder.....is this the last season? Or I wonder if they will try to keep it going on indefintly with a rotating cast, like Law and Order. If they continue to bring interesting characters to the show, I think they could keep it going for awhile longer.

BTW, I know it annoys alot of people, but I love the Widescreen format.

I heard somewhere that NBC has renewed it until at least 2004. I think this should be the last season. i still love it, but the early years were better, IMHO.

Dr. Green is the 4th person who's leaving County General at the end of the season. By the time the new season starts in Fall 2002, DR. Carter, Susan Lewis, and Carrie Weaver will be the only orignal ER crew left on the show.

Even though Deb Chen's character quit last week, Ming-Na is signed to the show through next year, so Chen will be back. And next year, only Carter and Lewis will remain from the original cast (Weaver first appeared during the second season as a guest star, then joined the regular cast during season three).

I rarely watched ER during the first few seasons, but because of reruns i am catching up and i agree they are much better than what the show is now. but the show is still great! and with susan back, it is really great! Am i the only one that like's Weaver? i think she is just misunderstood! and like, she really tried to save chen's job!

Weaver is ok I guess. She bugs me alot, but I like the way she demands respect, although in some situations I think she is wrong and out of line.

I love ER. Well I liked Doug and Carol and now they are both gone. Now I them all excpet for Weaver.

Not everyone from the original cast is gone. Carter, Greene. Benton, and Susan Lewis are still around. But Greene and Benton are supposed to leave at the end of this season, so you're right, there wont be many people left fromt the orignal cast.

Doug and Carol were great together. I used to watch the show just because of them, and then of course I became hooked.
I wanted Carter and Abby to hook up, but it seems Dr. Lewis is gonna win out instead...

I was a little surprised by the developing Carter and Lewis storyline last week. I also thought Abby and Carter would get together. But it looks like Carter and Lewis might be a good match, too.

As for the characters, I like everyone except Benton and Weaver. Benton, though he's been showing more and more of his vulnerable, sensitive side, still is too arrogant for my taste. As for Carrie Weaver, I was never crazy about her. She still comes across as a cold, bossy, control freak.

I thought Carter and Abby would make a good couple too. But I may sound weird but I'd like to see Carter and Lewis hook up.

I don't like the Carter/Lewis thing. Lewis and Green had more chemistry than Carter and Lewis do, and Carter and Abby had more chemistry than Lewis and Carter do.

To me it feels too forced, kind of like the writers were like, "well, Susan's coming back, but D'OH! Mark is married, so let's see here, who we got laying around to hook her up with?"

I dunno, maybe I could be surprised, I guess I shouldn't totally judge until next week, but so far I dont like it...

Yeah, I know what you mean. They had this thing all set up between Carter and Abby and then all of the sudden Lewis walks in. I understand that Mark is married and that Susan, along with Carter, will be returning next year, but still...
It all seems forced. Hopefully chemistry will develope between Carter and Lewis however, and I will be able to believe their feelings towards each other more...

I'll just have to wait to Thanksgiving to find out I guess!

I'd be curious to know...Do you think Carter should be with Abby or Susan? Personally, I thought he and Abby would be great together, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
And who thinks Dr.Greene needs to be smacking his first born around? That kid needs to learn something about respecting her parents.

I really liked Carter and Abby together. After tonight's episode I now know that won't be happening any time soon...
Carter and Susan have a playful form of chemistry on screen, and it's hard for me to see them getting serious. Hopefully they will prove me wrong however. Tongiht's episode though did not live up to the expectations I had set for it.

Rachel does need a good spanking around. He was on the soft with her, IMO. She just needs a stable father figure, not to mention mother figure as well IMO. Hopefully he'll work it all out, before everything gets fouled up in her life.

I wish they would have given the preview of next week's episode...

If they don't show previews for next weeks episode then that means that next weeks episode will be a rerun.
