Twilight Zone Heading to Blu-Ray?

No, not the feature film already available through Warner Bros. We're talking about the series itself!

TV Shows on DVD report that Image Entertainment is reportedly prepping Blu-Ray editions of The Twilight Zone, furthermore they might possibly used the hi-def transfers utilized for the DVD releases through 2004 and 2005.

The show kicked off in '59 and had a successful run through the '60s. It was revitalized in the '80s.

Now here's some incredible news:

The first season of the classic "The Twilight Zone" will hit high-definition Blu-ray this September!



Image Entertainment is preparing "The Twilight Zone: Season One" (1959) for Blu-ray on September 14.

The 5-disc Blu-ray set will contain all 36 episodes of the first season in 1080p video, an uncompressed monaural soundtrack, and supplements haven't been announced yet but they are expected to mirror all of the DVD features.

Sounds great but I definitely won't be wasting my money. some of those mentioned contributing audio commentary just kill it for me. As far as I'm concerned if they were not involved with the series originally then they have no business being interviewed for this. Even Zicree kills it for me but I can understand him being on there.
