View Full Version : DVD Requests for SHOUT! Factory in 2010
grundoontv 11-29-2009, 06:08 PM Dear SHOUT! Factory, Inc.,
I have a proposal for SHOUT! Factory: to make a long-term deal with The Muppets Studio & The Walt Disney Company for SHOUT! Factory to release a slew of Muppet-related content on DVD.
The deal shall begin on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 with a DVD release titled "The Muppet Movie: 30th Anniversary Edition," showcasing both "The Muppet Movie" as released theatrically on June 22, 1979 along with a 2nd disc featuring 3 hours worth of bonus features--from screen tests to interviews with puppeteers, as well as the hour-long special "The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson," an hour-long special aired months after Henson's untimely death.
That same day, June 22, 2010, SHOUT! Factory shall also release a direct-to-DVD compilation titled "The Jim Henson Collection," a 4-disc collection showcasing 1 episode each of every single TV series ever produced by The Jim Henson Company--from classics such as "The Muppet Show" & "Fraggle Rock" to more recent fare such as the cartoon series "Dog City."
Sincerely,
Grundoon Katt

I'll second the "Father Knows Best" reunion movies. Hopefully, a double feature or bonus features on the final set.
cajunhillbilly 11-30-2009, 01:48 PM I would like season 4 and 5 of Simon and Simon and season 2 and 3 of Room 222 in 2010
factsoflife 11-30-2009, 11:28 PM More "Designing Women", more "Blossom" and more "California Dreams". i'd also love to see "The Facts Of Life" continued (PLEASE SHOUT pick up THE FACTS OF LIFE") where SONY left off.
some short-lived shows like "Savannah", "Models Inc.," and "Pacific Pallisades" as well as "Just The Ten Of Us".
Marvo301 12-01-2009, 07:36 PM I'd like to see the remaining seasons of Mr. Belvedere released.
McGillicuddy 12-01-2009, 08:32 PM I would like to see Rhoda followed up with Phyllis, the other MTM spin-off. I also would like to see Designing Women continued, and the final season of The Patty Duke Show, which it looks like will happen, anyway.
Someone suggested taking over The Facts of Life. I wish they would negotiate with Sony to take over a number of titles that Sony doesn't seem to care about!

You're not the only one that wants them to take over Sony titles. I know they tried to get The Facts of Life & Silver Spoons but so far Sony won't let them have them. Hopefully one day.
Anyway, I want to see the remaining seasons of Mr Belvedere, Room 222, My Two Dads and Small Wonder.
Shout! Factory seems to be the only TV on DVD company that is actually increasing it's output of shows in this tough economy. I'm grateful to them.
factsoflife 12-02-2009, 12:34 AM Murphy Brown, Who's The Boss? and Growing Pains are three series i'd like to see continued in some form. please shout get those titles from whomever owns them. I'd also like to see soembody take over A Different World and release the remaining seasons.

Agreed on all 4. Murphy Brown just screams Shout! Factory. If they could somehow overcome the music obstacles, this show would be at the top of my list. Others: last 3 seasons of The Nanny, last 4 seasons of Mad About You, Drew Carey Show, Maude, 227, and Benson. And, as always, as far-fetched it might be, The Wonder Years.
JamesG 12-02-2009, 02:44 AM I'm hoping that some sort of agreement can be made with Werewolf being released.
Supposed to have been out in Sept. 09 but some music artists would not provide the rights.
zypherix 12-02-2009, 07:50 AM Fortunatly most of the Murphy Brown music was in the beginning of every episode, as sad as it is they could just easily overdub it to be able to release it.

MickeyMac 12-06-2009, 05:00 PM Its obvious Universal had abandoned Leave It To Beaver, so I would like to se Shout Factory pick up this show, even if they have to start over at season one.
