Anyone else a cop show nut? I'm a huge fan of cop shows and I really don't know why! Though I don't like gritty crime dramas like NYPD Blue.

What are your favorites?

CHiPs is one of my top 10 shows of all time, probably my top drama. One of the first sites I ever visited was CHiPs Online which I followed with my own Happy Days Online and so on...

I loved Chips that was an awsome cop show. I also like Due South, The Hat Squad if anyone still remebers that one, NYPD Blue, Picket Fences and The Divison.

Definetly CHiPs! I stil watch that every once and a while when I wake up early or come home real late and stay up to watch it. It's also one of my favorites.

New York Undercover was also another great Cop show.

Also, not sure if this is considered a Cop show, but I love Renegade. I wish it was still on.

I luv the division!!!it's the best cop show ever!

Don't forget "Starsky & Hutch." (1975-'79) My other favorites are "Adam-12," "CHiPs," and "Dragnet."

Adam-12, The Rookies, SWAT, Hill Street Blues and High Incident were GREAT shows.

To those of you who said "Dragnet" as your favorite, you have great taste. Jack Webb was a GOD in the police Drama genre. If anyone watched the TVLand show about real cops vs TV cops, you would have heard such statements from writers, producers and actors of all things "tv cops" as "Dragnet was the king of all cop shows" and "If anyone tried to put Dragnet on today, they would be laughed off of the screen", insinuating that no one could do it like Jack could and *that* was in reference to Dick Wolf making just that attempt. The "new" Dragnet will be aired next month (Janruary). Its going to be a flop because this is Dragnet's FOURTH incarnation, but the FIRST without Jack Webb. This was Jack's show and no one can put the finesse into it like he could and, according to all on this TVLand special, I'm in good company.

So, right on, fellow Dragnet/Adam-12 fans!! Good taste!!

The Commish was one of the best ever and my personal favorite!!!

Perry Mason, Matlock, Ironside, Hawaii 5-0, McCloud, Diagnosis Murder, Columbo, The F.B.I., Dragnet (mostly the ones with Bill Gannon), Mannix, Rockford Files, The Untouchables, Burk's Law, Charlie's Angels, and Barnaby Jones, not necessarily in that order. (I think that about covers it.)

Oh yeah, I also like The District.

I guess I'm going to be the odd man out by saying and of course praising the short lived drama BROOKLYN SOUTH.

But since that got cancelled after only one season, my pick is THE DISTRICT.

New York Undercover, Nash Bridges, The Strip was a short lived show but it was good. Guy Torry played on The Strip. He's a black comedian for those who don't know him. He's played in some movies also. He was in Michael Douglas's Don't Say A Word movie. How come there isn't a New York Undercover message board on here? I remember Simon & Simon. Crime Story was good too. TJ Hooker was alright. Miami Vice is my favorite cop show of all time. Hill Street Blues was good. In The Heat Of The Night was also good. I love cop shows. I wish there was more of them.

I love cop shows. My current favorites are NYPD Blue, Third Watch, The Shield, all the Law and Order series, CSI,The District, Monk, and Without a Trace. I don't like that they moved Law and Order SVU opposite NYPD Blue. I am going to have to watch one and tape the other.

I'm pretty much a cop show nut too, although I do like "NYPD Blue" and that kind of "gritty crime drama." I like "Law and Order" (all versions), and "CSI" (both version", "Without a Trace," and "Dragnet" (all versions). As for "Adam-12," I used to like it a lot, but haven't seen it in many years. Thanks for bringing it to my attention that it's being shown again, because I would like to catch it. What channel is it on these days? Also, can you give me a rough idea of the times? Good thread!

I've heard rumors that Bosco is leaving. I hope thats not true because he is my favorite character and he has been missed this season.

Ya, I think I read that on their website.... But I am choosing not to hear it...LOL .... I know he was gone for such a long time.... But why would they bring him back only for him to leave again?? Unless when someone finds out about his eyes or eye, then maybe they will end up offering a desk job and he says no and leaves.....

Or,what could happen is,what if maybe they do find out about his eyes/eye, and then when he turns down a desk job,he could work along side with Faith.... I just purchased the complete case files of the Untouchables from an overseas source and I have watched it almost every night since. I especially like the show because of the of the American history docs. The show presents a Hollywood (Desilu) version of the dirty thirties when prohibition was part of the American way of life. The corruption that followed the booze restriction spread throughout the United States and even involved Canada, Cuba, Europe and Mexico. No nonsense crime fighters, in antiquated machines, on early telephone. Another excellent example of early forensics. The show should be remastered for just educational purposes. Robert Stack later went on to locate missing children, I think. Anyone recall the name of that show?
