I was wondering When did Cindy Williams Leave Laverne and Shirley.

long story short but they woudn't basically let her tape cos she was gonna have a baby so she couldn't stand it anymore & left the show

What happened was: Cindy became pregnant and wanted to reduce her shooting schedule during her pregnancy and do fewer episodes. The producers agreed, but wanted to reduce her salary accordingly. Cindy, however, refused this offer - she wanted to continue to be paid her full salary even while appearing less. So the producers let her go.

The show had already been on a downward slide, IMO, since the move to California and Williams being ousted just made it worse.

They should have retitled the show Laverne, because there was no Shirley anymore.:rolleyes:

Not really. While she and Paramount settled out of court (she'd even named Garry Marshall in the lawsuit), the lawsuit really damaged her reputation in the industry. Fortunately, she was able to start a production company with her now ex-husband, but her acting jobs became few and far in between. She would have been better off if she had sucked it up and remained for the last season.

What is the production company name

At one point it was called "Cindy Williams Productions, LLC". I don't know if it was called that when she was producing the "Father of the Bride" movies, or if that is the current name.
