Not me!! I decorate my house inside and out every year but I usually do mine the weekend after Thanksgiving. I just can't see doing it sooner, but there are 4 houses in my neighborhood that already have lights up, including a house on my street!!

Of course, alot of the businesses already have things decorated.

No not yet but tomorrow I'll start looking through my Christmas stash to pick and choose what I'll be putting up this year.

Yesterday while I went shopping I saw this huge pink Christmas tree. It must've been 5 1/2 or 6 ft. tall.

That seems like the latest new Christmas thing. Who would buy it? The young girls? Could you imagine a guy with it? What do you think? Chime in guys........

Since the advent and popularity of artificial trees, it seems like decorations are going up earlier and earlier each year.

To each his own, but for me, putting stuff up too early makes me kind of tired of looking at them by the time Xmas rolls around. We never had our tree up for more than 3 weeks or so total (including the week after Xmas) when I was young and I still adhere to that today.

So, nope, not yet...

Same goes for Christmas music on the radio. One of our local stations has already started playing 24/7 Christmas music, starting this past Fri. You'd think they could just wait one more week until Thanksgiving has passed!!

So Christmas music to me is what decorations are to you, by the time Christmas comes around, I'm just tired of it!!

I'm hoping to this week by Tuesday.

Since I have company on that day, I'd like to have the ladies see my room.

I haven't and don't plan to, as I may be moving next month. I'm hoping to close on a house by Dec 12, but could be later.

How about the Xmas displays going up shortly after Halloween (or in some cases around here, even BEFORE Halloween!). I mean, I don't want to be a Scrooge but at some point the bombardment dilutes the spirit of the holiday. How special can one feel about it if it seems like we're celebrating it ALL YEAR round?

Oh dear, that's just wrong.  Silver or white, that I can understand, though.

I'm thinking more of these small trees that you can place on a table, not a full-sized tree (I have cats, and last time we had the tree up -- six years ago -- they wreaked havoc on the ornaments so we stopped putting it up).

No we haven't done any decorating yet, infact we haven't decorated in quite a few years. I did tell my mom that I wanted to get a Christmas tree this year and her and I could decorate it just like we use to. I'll probably wait a couple weeks before going out and finding the perfect tree. I'm looking forward to it.

We will start decorating this weekend. Mainly the inside first. I did notice 2 houses with their Christmas lights on. That is too soon.

I have a small rack of Christmas coasters on the hutch in my dining room. Someone made it and gave it to me as a gift a long time ago, but I can't remember who it was. It's white, red, green, and black, with a happy snowman face on the front. Actually, it looks like the Hamburger Helper Glove wearing a top hat.

But I'm not sure if it qualifies as a decoration for this Christmas season. That's because I forgot to pack it up when I took down my Christmas decorations last year and it's been sitting on my dining room hutch ever since then.

I used one of the coasters while watching TV last night, so my beer bottle wouldn't leave a ring on the coffee table.

My aunt has a few things up: lights, her Christmas movies out, a few blowups in the yard, etc. But nothing major. No Christmas tree yet. But she'll get that when we go Day After Thanksgiving shopping. Who knows when we'll put it up, tho.
My grandmother is going to put her tree up next weekend.

Last year we didn't decorate at all because we went out of town and didn't really see the point. I'm not a scrooge or anything, but it always is such a huge chore to drag all the stuff down and put it up, and since we weren't going to be home, there would be no time to enjoy it. We have decided to make going away a tradition, and even considered getting rid of our tree, but I think we'll keep it. It's nice to have one in case we change our minds. I saw lights go up on our street over a week ago, which is really sad. Linus Van Pelt was right... Christmas has gotten too commercialized.

Half the people in our town has got their Christmas stuff up. I've seen some up before Thanksgiving. We think they're doing it to beat the cold weather, which I don't blame them.

I lied. My aunt didn't find a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. Hopefully, the next time we go down their (which will be this Friday), she'll have one. She said me and my little cousins could help decorate it.
My grandmother did put her stuff up outside. I didn't get the chance to help her. But she said I could help her put up her tree, which will also be this weekend. I'm going to be sick of trees by the time Christmas gets here. lol.
