My Favorite Thanksgiving dishes are:

Turkey
Oyster Dressing
Green-bean cassarole
Cherry Cheese-cake
Deviled eggs
Dinner Rolls

I actually do not like Thanksgiving because I do not care for the traditional meal at all. I hate turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce...

I see my main family during the day and I hardly eat anything with them; they all know this so people don't mind at this point.

Then in the evening some friends of mine come to my place for an untraditional smorgasbord - pizza, Chinese food, tacos, cheeseburgers, chicken wings....

All of that sounds good, but ouch, I actually felt my arteries slamming shut just thinking about the sodium content of that stuff. :lol:

I love turkey, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and corn. I can eat cranberries but I can do without them, too. Not a fan of dressing or gravy, though.

Turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean cassarole, cresent rolls, sweet potatoes, desserts.


This is one holiday I actually like. :)

Stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes with melted marshmallows and pineapples on top (:drool:), cranberry sauce, and desserts (cookies, pumpkin pie, apple pie, etc). All washed down with some apple cider. I'm actually not a huge fan of turkey, lol. I look forward to the side dishes the most :)

Very rarely,if done right,turkey can be as moist and tasty
as broth itself.That's when the turkey becomes one of my
favorite dishes from the traditional Thanksgiving Day menu.
For openers,turkey gravy over cuts of turkey white meat is
something I favor.I also favor having sliced beets and/or
cranberry sauce as side vittles.I like to have mashed pota-
toes and/or sweet potatoes and/or yams as side orders as
well.Well-done stuffing is also one of the side orders I love.
For dessert,hot apple or cherry pie,topped with melted but-
ter or cheese,is a good way to conclude that traditional North
American meal.

My favorites are definitely the stuffing (has to be homemade, none of that from-a-box stuff), the candied yams with loads of marshmallow cream and of course, the oh-so-yummy turkey. My mom cooks the best turkey and it's never dry at all! I can't wait for dinner!!! :lol:

I've had fresh cranberry sauce for the first time this year. So much better than the canned kind. Om nom nom.

A nice fine white China platter with a cheerful fall foods motif illustration in the center (cornucopia, pumpkin, squash, corn, etc.), frosty wine goblet with multiple sides, and a nifty gravy boat.

YUM............. Thank GOD I ate a good meal yesterday. The turkey was delicious. The pumpkin pie was scrumptious. Oh and the egg nog........
