This second season episode is one of my favorites. I've seen it so many times and I've noticed some interesting things about it.

This is one of the rare times you see the inside of Fonzie's apartment (before he moved above the Cunninghams's garage). As you watch that scene, notice how similar it looks to Fonzie's garage apartment. My guess is these are both the same set. Notice the backround... the kitchenette, sink, drawers, refrigerator and the bathroom door are all in the same spot. Also, pay attention to the table that Fonzie's Christmas tree is sitting on... it's the same table and chairs in Fonzie's garage apartment. Watch some of the later episodes for verification.

Continuity error:
When Richie and Mr.C. finally get Fonzie over to their house, Marion gives Fonzie a cup of cider. He takes a sip and puts the cup down on the table twice right before he helps Chuck fix the lights on the Christmas tree.

The automatic "mugging" Santa Claus placed out in front of Richie's house is obviously a real person dressed in a mask and Santa suit. :lol:

that's right; "HD" was a mid-season replacment series, so that was their first Christmas episode. (and the series first full season)

That is one of THE best episodes in HD's entire run. Classic!!

I like Christmas Time too, and wondered if Fonzies apartment was really above the garage but a few feet on the other side of the kitchen. it wouldn't have made much for the actors to climb up the stars. and how did they get the snow effect if it probably was LA where it was warm? I loved how the father pretended to be someone just passing through and Fonzie realized later who it really was, and later overcame his bitterness.

That is one of THE best episodes in HD's entire run. Classic!!

I think that episode may be my single favorite episode. Yes, it truly is a classic.

I think this episode is my all time favorite Happy Days episode. You can't help but feel so badly for Fonzie sitting there all alone with his can of raveoli after creating this big fantasy of a Christmas.

They did one in the third season with Arnold and one in the fourth season with Al.

Yeah, I was hoping they'd be in there as special features, but it didn't happen.

Aren't all of the episodes of a given season supposed to be on that season's DVD? Like, for instranse, I own all five seasons of the "Brady Bunch" on DVD. And every episode of every season is included. Why would it be any different with "Happy Days"?

I'm assuming that Fonz talking with Arnold then Al refers to bookend scenes and that the bulk of those episodes is a rerun of "Who's Coming" from 1974 (I don't remember, sorry).

If that's the case it wouldn't make much sense to essentially put the same episode on three DVD sets. Yes, those scenes as a special feature would have been nice, but I'm frankly not surprised it didn't occur to them to include that.

Watched this episode recently. I noticed a flaw in something Richie says to Fonzie at the apartment. He says, "We were wondering if, uh, you might not rather go to Waukesha IN THE MORNING and spend Christmas Eve with us?"

In the morning?! Fonzie was intending to leave that night on the bus.

Right, so Richie was asking him if he could maybe wait until the morning to go to Waukesha so that he could spend Christmas Eve with the family. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see anything wrong with what he said.

I think its funny to point out continuity errors about a show that essentially just ignored the fact that the Cunningham's had an elder kid that completely disappeared!!!! HA!
