Just wanted to see who else has a VCR still as I don't think I am the only one...

I actually have two. One is about 15 years old and still works perfectly and the other is about 6 years old which is a VCR/DVD machine.

Yes. I use it every once in a while to watch favorite movies I own on videocassette that I haven't yet purchased on DVD. I also use it to watch my family's old home movies from the 1950s and 1960s, which we had transferred from Standard 8 format to videocassettes several years ago.

yes I still have one (at least I assume it still works), however it hasn't been hooked up to a TV in at least a couple of years.

Yes I do, I still have alot of old shows and movies on VHS that aren't released on dvd as of yet :)

I have two VCR's but one is a DVD Recorder Combo and the other one is a DVD Combo. I no longer have a stand alone VCR in my apt.

I have a VCR with a DVD recorder combination unit. I hardly ever use the VCR anymore though.

Yes, I have a VCR in my room and my parents have a VCR in their room. I have a few videos that I haven't had a chance to convert to dvd yet. :p

I have two. A VCR and a VCR/DVD combo. I got tapes of stuff that has never seen the light of day on DVD, and some stuff that never made it to VHS.

Yes I have one and thank God it works fine although I rarely use it. When it goes I'll suppose I'll have to get a DVD and VCR combo as I don't think they make standalone VCRs anymore. (I alr. have a DVD player - both it and the VCR are hooked up to the back of my analog TV)

I had a single VCR player until about a year ago. We replaced it with a combo type.

I currently have:

A Toshiba 13" tv/vcr combo
A Phillips 9" tv/vcr combo
2 Sony Hi-Fi vcr's
2 Panasonic Hi-Fi vcr's
A Panasonic portable vcr
A Sanyo vcr/dvd combo

I have a couple. I just own waaay too many movies to ever transfer them all to the newest format. Some of them never have and probably never will be released on DVD. (In fact, some of them were never released on video!)

I record with a VCR quite a bit and also watch what older tapes I recorded with.

yes, we still have one that I still watch every now and then; I have a lot of stuff on VHS that I either bought or recorded myself. (when I used to live at home I had my own TV & VCR in my bedroom.

I have a vcr/dvd combo. I'd like to get an up conversion that turns regular dvd's close to 1080p resolution.

I used to have a DVD/VCR combo so that I could copy my videos to DVD, but I got rid of it. I have been thinking of buying another one because I can't even watch my wedding videos! But I'll probably end up having it professionally transfered if I can.

They have come down a ton since I first bought. I spent $350 in December 2004 on a DVD/VCR combo, the one I bought last year cost me $150. You can get a standalone recorder for under $100 now and that's the way I'm going next time. I still find myself occasionally using a tape and I'm trying to stop. :lol:

I have one I got as a wedding present in 1999. It's a Sony, so it will probably last another 10 years.

I got one a couple of months ago at Big Lots, it was only $69.99, definitely couldn't pass that up. It's a DVD Recorder with a VCR built in.

I love it.

We have three VCRs and one DVD player in the house. But one of the VCRs doesn't work anymore.

We have 2 VCR/DVD combos and 2 stand alone VCR's that are hooked up and still all working. We still record onto the VCR and record movies on to the VCR for my daughter. Maybe if I knew how to record a DVD we would modernize a little.

If I really want to keep something, like a movie or a certain TV series, I record them on DVD. But I usually record on VCR, because I find that more practical.

I don't have a clue what happened to my VCR.

Yes, we have:

1) Two stand alone VCRs that are still hooked up to TVs and still work perfectly.

2) One all-in-one TV/VCR/DVD combo, probably only 3-4 years old, all still working perfectly

3) and one DVD/VCR recorder, that I'm using to transfer things from VHS to DVD
