NO - SLASHER & MURDER THEMES PREVAIL

NO - THEY ARE ALL X RATED OR VIOLENT

WHO CARES - I QUIT GOING TO MOVIES

YES - BUT VERY FEW

YES - THERE ARE MANY!

With the exception of Disney type movies, there is little family entertainment in todays era.

I think Hollywood is making nothing but crap. These idiots who run the film studios should all be required to watch Turner Classic Movies to see how real movies are made.

I think Hollywood is still producing some movies for kids and families. But a lot of them aren't great. The most recent kids/family that I thought it was pretty good was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Sure there are lots of good movies made for families. Just about any DreamWorks cartoon works.

The Movies today are dead to me.

Nothing but remakes, sequels, and unoriginal stuff.

When you are looking through the telescope today it is rare to find good quality movies that are aimed at young children and families and part of the reason is because the kids that watched movies aimed at younger children either have grown up or became teenagers or have children of their own and so today there is few movies aimed at young children and families. Because if you look at the general picture today's kids movies are filled with scenes with adult humor adult oriented jokes and colorful lingo that kids shouldn't be repeating. Take for instance when Dreamworks released Shrek which actually was a film adaption of a children's book by author William Steig but if you watched Shrek you'll see that it's mostly for adults because Shrek had adult humor and adult jokes and how it's considered a kids movie is shocking. Another Dreamworks movie that is also aimed at adults was Antz and when you also watched Antz it really wasn't for kids because it had adult humor adult jokes and had profanity throughout the movie and how Dreamworks marketed Antz as a family movie was odd. But the one family and young kids oriented movie that Dreamworks did was The Prince Of Egypt and that film was a hit with families. But even Disney movies have lost their family and younger child audience by no longer aiming at the family audience and young child audience and instead aiming for the adult audience and teen market. Take for instance many of the Disney fairy-tale movies created today have taken out the love scenes and romance and instead the princes have become best friends of the princesses and when Disney released The Hunchback Of Notre Dame in 1996 they turned a Victor Hugo novel into a children's movie even though the story is too mature for kids and I couldn't figure out why Disney did this movie. And when Disney released Hercules in 1997 Hercules was an odd choice for Disney because this movie was NOT for children and had adult humor and jokes and the storyline was aimed at adults too. But this trend has continued in movies today because they want to eliminate violent and scary scenes for younger children and with the new generation of older kids and teenagers they want to attract the teenagers and older kids and focus less on younger children and families and this style of family movies will continue for years to come
