Mine- The Thanksgiving episode where she transports everyone, along with Gladys, to Plymouth in the 1600's. This was also the best "time travel" episode, and one of my favorite episodes, period.

I think my choice would be #95 "The Trial & error of Aunt Clara" She really shined & had a chance to take center stage & interact with more characters such a Larry Tate even. Larry Tate :) catlover79 11-01-2009, 03:11 PM Those are both great, but I think mine is "Accidental Twins" from Season 3, where she accidentally turns the Tates' son into twins.  Close second would be "Ancient Macedonian Dodo Birds" (Season 4) where Endora loses her powers and they are transferred to Aunt Clara. Priceless. MickeyMac 11-01-2009, 04:32 PM I like the one in season 3 where Clara zaps up what she thinks is the next days newspaper. Darrin sees it where it says Larry broke his leg, so he and Sam go on Larry and Louise's second honeymoon and does everything he can to prevent Larry from having an accident. Instead he just ends up annoying everyone. All their reactions are hillarious, this has always been one of my favorite episodes. Turns out Clara zapped up a ten year old newspaper, and that Larry already broke his leg, and Darrin and Sam made the trip for nothing. catlover79 11-01-2009, 04:38 PM I like the one in season 3 where Clara zaps up what she thinks is the next days newspaper. At least Sam was able to restart the day so Larry and Louise wouldn't remember that the Stephenses had been there. Bonsai 11-01-2009, 05:41 PM It's hard to pick one because Marion Lorne was so wonderful in that role----but I'll have to go with "Allergic to Ancient Macedonian Dodo Birds" because of how much fun she was having with Endora's powers. Her initial dramatic entrance with all the smoke was priceless! catlover79 11-01-2009, 11:09 PM ^ Indeed!! comedyfreak 11-03-2009, 06:59 AM My favorites are Samantha Meets The Folks, Aunt Clara made me tear up when she decided to leave when she tried to help Sam by zapping up Darrin and Franks favorite meal. My next favorite is when Aunt Clara got popular by babysitting and using her powers to entertain the kids. One of the parents tried to have Aunt Clara put away for believing she was a witch. My next one is The Trial And Error Of Aunt Clara folllowed by Accidental Twins and Alleric to Macedonian Dodo Birds. So I have more than one favorite. catlover79 11-03-2009, 04:39 PM My favorites are Samantha Meets The Folks, Aunt Clara made me tear up when she decided to leave when she tried to help Sam by zapping up Darrin and Franks favorite meal. Aunt Clara really was a gem. The show really wasn't the same after Marion Lorne passed on...but at least she was (posthumously) honored with an Emmy for her outstanding work!! comedyfreak 11-04-2009, 12:43 AM Yes indeedy. She was a class act, that's why I'd like to see Mr. Peepers shis is supposed to be in that series. I'd like to see any movies she was in also. catlover79 11-04-2009, 12:47 AM Yes indeedy. Someday I'll have to watch Mr. Peepers myself - the first couple of seasons are on DVD. According to Bewitched Forever, and a couple of interviews I've read, Marion Lorne was just as kind and sweet as Aunt Clara in real life. :D McGillicuddy 11-04-2009, 02:33 AM Yes indeedy. Marion was on The Garry Moore Show along with Carol Burnett. I'd love to see her with Carol! Also both Marion Lorne and Alice Ghostley are in the 1967 film The Graduate. catlover79 11-04-2009, 10:06 AM She was also in the 1951 Hitchcock classic Strangers on a Train - as was Kasey Rogers (Louise Tate #2). OH Nuts! 11-04-2009, 03:31 PM I love love love Aunt Clara so they are ALL #1 in my book. No Bewitched ep relaxes or entertains me as much as an Aunt Clara ep. I could watch each & every one several times over (and probably have). catlover79 11-04-2009, 03:33 PM I love love love Aunt Clara so they are ALL #1 in my book. Me too!!! :D east215 11-14-2011, 07:14 AM My favorite Aunt Clara ep is where she blacks out the Eastern Seaboard. McGillicuddy 11-14-2011, 01:26 PM When I was a kid it seems like they aired the Thanksgiving episode every year on Thanksgiving, that is if Bewitched reruns were airing on any station. I love the ending seen when the family finally is able to sit down to dinner. Samantha and Darrin are relieved that they got through another Aunt Clara mishap, when Clara starts talking about Christmas, and taking Tabitha to the North Pole to meet the real Santa Claus! comedyfreak 11-16-2011, 04:59 AM I liked Samantha Meets The Folks, Accidental Twins the most and the one where Aunt Clara babysat and got into trouble for doing magic to entertain the kids. I also really liked the Trial and Error of Aunt Clara. MickeyMac 11-20-2011, 02:12 PM The episode in season 3 where Clara blinks Darrin a newspaper, he reads it and sees where Larry breaks his leg on his honeymoon, and he and Sam go there to prevent Larry from hurting himself, and only end up aggrivating Larry. Turns out Clara blinked up a newspaper from ten years earlier. Still a funny episode. McGillicuddy 11-20-2011, 06:09 PM One of Aunt Clara's funniest moments---When she intended to walk through the livingroom wall and disappear, but ended up just slamming into it. :rotflmao: Phyllis's reaction to that was hilarious also!! bewitched7921 12-10-2011, 04:18 PM  One of Aunt Clara's funniest moments---When she intended to walk through the livingroom wall and disappear, but ended up just slamming into it. :rotflmao: Phyllis's reaction to that was hilarious also!! favorite episode is the trial and error of aunt clara in season 3.::lol: OH Nuts! 12-10-2011, 05:02 PM Know I said it earlier but as far as I'm concerned just reach into that great big Aunt Clara barrel of eps and pick any of them - they're all devine. |
