Have you ever been suspended from school?

My sister was suspended from school today because she hit another student. Last school year she was suspended for cursing.

I once got an in-school suspension in 10th grade for fighting. Seriously! This girl, for some reason or another, kept throwing things at me in the school cafeteria, and they would hit me in the arm, face, etc. So finally one day I just snapped and physically went after her. My parents were not mad at me because I was only sticking up for myself, thankfully. But I still think getting a 2-day ISS was unfair (at least she got a whole week).

Suspensions and detentions were always weird and they never made much sense. They were also over the stupidest things.

I never got suspended from school. However I did get a few detentions along the way.

I forgot my school id one day at school in 10th grade. Because I had left it at home by mistake I was given after school detention. I remember crying because it was my first [and only] detention. In school we were required to bring and wear our school id badge everyday.

When I was in College, my Freshman year I was Suspended for 2 weeks for fighting. I hit a girl in the head with a tray, after that I never had a problem.

i was suspended many times in highschool - including 10 separate times in the 10th grade, the longest was for 4 weeks.

still had the best grades though :p

Yes, I was suspended once, right before graduation!!

Our band had played at our middle school. Since I was one of the older students and could drive, another girl and I drove some of the band to the school(It's only about a 5 min. drive from the high school to the middle school). After the performance, me & the other girl decided to make a quick run to McDonald's before going back to school. Going out of the parking lot, to go to McD's was a right turn, to get back to the school was a left turn. I guess our band director saw the 2 cars making a right turn and everybody else going left, probably didn't know what we were up to.

When we got back to the school, we all got sent to the dean's office. Since me & the other girl were driving, we both got suspended for 3 days, 2 days before graduation!! All the others in the car just got parent conferences. My parents had to come down for a conference, too, and they got me out of it so I was able to graduate.

It was just an innocent run to McD's. It only took 5 min!! Didn't think it would mean much. If I had known the consequences, I would've never done it.

Me too. My parents would have killed me or made me wish I was dead. A few times in elementary school, a teacher made me stay after school for talking too much. Each time I cried. I couldn't help it. Someone would always say, "Don't worry. She'll let us go in a few minutes," but I would be so worried about my parents finding out that I had to shed a few tears.

Once in the 9th grade for telling a teacher I loved him in my own way

Twice in the 10th grade, once for pulling a switchblade on a kid, and once for fighting.

My brother and sister were both suspended in highschool. My sister threw a marker at a girl, which the principal called "fighting." My brother got suspended for... I don't remember, being a jerk about something.

I, on the other hand, was a perfect little angel :angel:

There's got to be some interesting stories there. But why in the world would you pull a switchblade on someone? :eek: That doesn't sound like you! :nonono:

I have never been Suspended from school but I through I almost would get Suspended because my Teacher hit me for no reason and I mom taught me to fin for myself so I kicked the nun in the Leg.

Once in High School, I was suspended for three days, because I had destroyed some kind of machine (a very old one, that I don't think anyone even used, and I don't even really know what it was) during an outburst, which also happens to be my worst one ever. I also had a few detentions back in Middle School, for being too late for class. Nah, I wasn't that much of a goody-goody. I'm still no goody-goody, even though I'm a bit more responsible and mature nowadays than what I was as a teenager. :rolleyes: But just like Robyrob, I still managed to get good grades. (But I still couldn't graduate properly from High School, as I was sick a lot back then and missed a lot of classes, so I went to Junior College later on to complete my education, but that's another story.)

I was never suspended from school, and my only detention was what they called a "teacher detention" I got that for forgetting to bring a protractor to my math class in the 7th grade. Teacher detentions weren't nearly as bad as Principal ones from what I remember. I think maybe the Principal ones were longer or something. So basically my detention didn't really count.
My best friend in junior high got suspended for 3 days for throwing ice across the cafeteria. My school was having a major problem with kids throwing stuff and they were really cracking down on it. She and I used to talk on the phone every night and after she was suspended, her parents grounded her as well. She wasn't allowed to talk on the phone for like two weeks! I think this was during Christmas vacation. That doesn't sound like much, but to us it was a lifetime!

That kid was someone I had problems with for two years. One of the many bullies we had at school. I had enough of his BS and pulled switchblade on him to show him I meant business. I got 10 days suspended and put on probation for the rest of the year. Later that year I got into a fight with another kid while I was still on probation, and had to go in front of the board of education to pretty much explain why they shouldnt suspend me. That was not one of my better years, but then again high school was hell for me.
