Does anybody remember when local tv stations did Dialing for Dollars? Wonder if any still do. A little station on the eastern shore of Maryland was doing this as late as 1985.

Baltimore I remember had both Dialing for Dollars and even Bowling for Dollars. The latter I heard the set is still there at Baltimore's WBAL-11. I even heard that some employees have been known to "go bowling" at work.

My aunt once won $40 dollars on a Virginia version of Dialing for Dollars. Lot of money for someone to win back in 1970.

I know that a local version of "Dialing for Dollars" was broadcast in the Philadelphia area up until (I'm guessing) the late 1970s. The last host was one of the "general assignment" reporters from WPVI Channel 6's "Action News" team (Dave Roberts?). Can anyone from the Philadelphia area clarify this for me? Thanks.
