OK, maybe some of you would rather forget the whole thing ever happened..LOL!

It was goofy, stupid, strange and totally weird, but it made me laugh!

I especially like Gene, Gene the Dancin' Machine...

there was this episode with Gene Gene and Chuckie Baby had no shoes on,so wile Gene Gene was dancing way Chuckie was dancing I mean he had no shoes on but had this hat on and every time they had that burst of sound in the song the audience and Chuckie would raise their hands!Funny!!!!!!
Remember when they tied Chuckie Baby up?That was funny too!And was that girl who says "My Daddy!" really Chuck's daughter?

I wondered that same thing. I've determined that Chuckie Baby was seriously demented!!! Gotta love this stuff anyway http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

The Gong Show was great. Gene Gene was a rug-cutter allright. Remember the Unknown Comic who came out with a paperbag over his head. Onetime he came out with a little dummy to do a ventriloquist act and the dummy had a little paperbag over his head.

And Chuck Barris always wore hats to hide behind. Remember Jaye P. Morgan was always saying something dirty and getting bleeped. What a show.

I wish GAME SHOW NETWORK would air it, but, I learned that there are some laws prohited airing some of the singing, and probably acts, too, which is just about the same kind of excuse we hear about variety shows not being in reruns

That's too bad! I would love to see it again!
Some now famous people were on that show. Guess there is some royalty thing that applies or just plain embarrassment?!

Did you know the only person discovered on the Gong Show was Singer Cheryl Lynn. She had a top twelve pop hit in 1979 titled "Got To Be Real."

There is no problem airing them on a regular basis, but GSN doesn't think it will pull in the solid ratings to have it put on the daily schedule. Anywho, that person who called Chuck her daddy was in fact Chucks now-deceased (from suicide) daughter.

Dana Plato was "discovered" by the producers of Diff'rent Strokes on The Gong Show.

I heard that Jamie Farr (M*A*S*H) was on the Gong Show . . .

Jamie Farr was on Gong As a celeb.

Let's see

Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), and I know there were some others....

BTW: From what I've heard, the only reason that Gong Show and Name that Tune aren't on the sched are musoc clearances.

Also, and supporting the music blocking gong argument, the 2 barris shows on GSN, NG and $1.98 BS are 2 of the top rated shows on GSN.
