CBS is satisfied with the initial success of "Let's Make a Deal" since it took over for "Guiding Light," noting that after two weeks, "Deal" is up 7 percent in overall households (1.6/5), which surpasses how the soap had been faring, reports Joe Adalian at The Wrap.

Those extra viewers, however, are not women 18-49 or 25-54, because in those demos, "Deal" is down 13 and 20 percent, respectively. CBS is happy that with "Deal" as a lead-in, "The Price Is Right" had improved ratings from a year ago at this time.

IMO it's spin, I doubt they're all that happy with LMAD not getting the coveted demo

The Price is Right is up a lot this season - 2 weeks it posted its best ratings in nearly a year. I guess some of the old viewers are finally coming back. Personally, I think Drew is doing better than ever lately, and with the new set and the new prizes, they're putting on great shows.

...that this version of "LET'S MAKE A DEAL" is getting a better reception than that short-lived NBC prime-time version with Billy Bush as host, six years ago; he was primarily chosen as host because of his association with "ACCESS HOLLYWOOD". But he's not a good "emcee", and certainly didn't radiate the kind of enthusiasm or empathy with the "Trading Floor" that Wayne does...or Monty himself did. Look for Brady to be around for at least one season...
