It's endearing to see Dick laugh at Mary's joshing the exact same way he does in the "Dick Van Dyke Show Remembered" TV special, which is on the DVD. One thing the both of them remembered wrongly is when they had last worked: of course, Dick and Mary last worked together on the "Dick Van Dyke and the Other Woman" special, the year after the DVDS ended, that is, up until the "Mary Tyler Moore Hour".

Oops. There were at least two other times these two worked together on the small screen. This "Tonight Show" appearance is from 1979, the same year as "The Mary Tyler Moore Hour". There was also the time in 1976 that Mary Tyler Moore appeared on "Van Dyke and Company." And in 1978, Dick Van Dyke appeared in a silent skit with Mary in a special called "How to Survive the 70s and Maybe Even Bump Into Happiness."

That was fun seeing those two together again!
