I didn't know that. You learn something new everyday.
catlover79 10-23-2009, 08:23 PM I never knew that either. But if Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor had starred in that movie, every third word would have to be censored.

You're right about that. The MF bomb would have been dropped all through out the movie. LOL But, Cosby was real street and raw in the movie without using one curse word.

You're right - I don't think Redd OR Richard could have pulled that off.

I don't know, but Cosby of the 70s was a lot different from the Cosby of the 80s and up. Put it this way, Redd and Richard, as funny and raw as they were, couldn't have done what Cosby did in this particular movie.
MickeyMac 10-24-2009, 03:37 PM Nothing agaisnt Bill Cosby, but I think Richard Pryor or Redd Foxx could have pulled it off. Even without using swear words, both of these men were hillarious. Check out some of Richard Pryor's skits on The Ed Sullivan Show for instance. He does not use one swear word, but he will still have you in stitches.

You may be right, but looking at this movie, you needed a funny man, and you need a straight man for the two starring roles. Foxx and Pryor couldn't have played a straight man.

Yes, they'd be contantly trying to upstage each other!
