An interesting assessment courtesy of the Box Office Mojo team.

While looking into the top grossing horror films (it's the Halloween season, time to step back and look at the genre's success), BOM posted on their homepage a list of the top grossing supernatural films of all time and thought it was worthy enough to share. Many that ranked in the top ten were released in the last decade (thanks to a rise in ticket price).

The only movie I never cared for on the list is The Ring Two. I hated seeing that one in the theaters.

I never got into The Ring period. It had A LOT of hype and word-of-mouth as one of the scariest movies ever made so I was really expecting something good.

After I saw it the movie had no effect on me. I found it just alright and I did not see how this got all of the hype that it did. It wasn't really bad but, to me, this was not one of the scariest movies of all time.

I agree The Ring wasn't really scary but I thought it was a solid film.

Yeah it wasn't a bad film but was it really one of the scariest of all time? To me it wasn't.
