President Gilligan was today but it was the colourised version. They look terrible compared to some of the newer DVD releases of other shows that have been done.
It's on a commercial station so it's badly butchered. They used to only cut 1 scene from the show but there were 3 different scenes missing in today's episode.
1. Straight after the first ad break up to where the Skipper is bringing flowers to Ginger was cut.
2. The Skipper finishing his sign and he and Gilligan falling in the water was missing.
3. And after the Skipper tells Gilligan he doesn't look well where the Skipper hands some boxes and rope for Gilligan to carry and Gilligan promptly dropping said items on the Skipper's foot was cut.
Most importantly, none of the Mary Ann scenes were cut.
Even though it's shown cut, it's kind of fun digging out the DVD's and finding out what's missing. I hope it wasn't a once only thing.

Did they ever release the third season down there? I remember you saying it wasn't avalible a few months ago.

I should have said the second season as well. I don't know why region 4 discs for the 2nd and 3rd seasons aren't produced. Season 1 is on 6 discs, making them single sided, which I prefer.
And it looks like last weeks showing was a one off. There's no sign of it this week. :(
The station that showed it last week has started a new digital channel that broadcasts all the classic old shows. I'm hoping Gilligan's Island is next on their list.
Some of them are:
Marine Boy, Scooby Doo (from '69), Josie and the Pussycats, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Partridge Family, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. So there's every chance Gilligan will make a regular return. Fingers crossed.:)

That's too bad, its a shame it isn't on. If it makes you feel any better it isn't airing on cable here in the states either.

That channel sounds pretty good. GI would fit well on it.
