We know the Jesse James Hollywood case inspired "Alpha Dog" but other than that, have any other cases been made into movies, if so, which ones?

I've seen a couple movies on Lifetime based on UM cases. I believe one is called "Gone in the Night" (or something like that) about the Jacqueline Dowaliby case. Shannon Doherty played the mom. Also I can't remember the title but there's one that seems almost identical to the Jared Peters case (grandma taught him satan worship and kidnapped him). I believe Jaclyn Smith was on that one. If I can think of any more, I'll post.

Dixie Carter played David Dowaliby's mother - the grandmother who lived in the basement.

I remember several years back, Lifetime did a movie about the Theresa Stamper case. Cindy Williams played Theresa's mother and I remember a scene where they are shown watching the UM segment towards the end of the movie.

This was part of a week long marathon where Lifetime showed movies "from the files of Unsolved Mysteries." But I can't remember the other movies they showed that week.

Judith Light played Marie Hilley in the movie "Wife, Mother, Murderer" in 1991.

The Teresita Basa story was in the 1996 made for TV movie Voice From the Grave.
And Tracey Gold starred in A Kidnapping in the Family as the LaDonna Morrow character, the one crystaldawn referenced.
The Shannon Mohr (Davis) case was made into A Victim of Love.

Man, I watched too much lifetime back in the day. :)

Wasn't there a TV movie with Dwight Schultz where he played a guy who killed his wife and tried to pass it off as a horseback accident?

That's the "Victim of Love" one I mentioned.

The 2002 Hallmark movie Silent Night is about on the Fritz Vincken story about the German mother and son who brought together German and American soldiers together on Christmas Eve during WWII. Linda Hamiliton played Elisabeth Vincken and her acting was very good.

This was made before the case was on UM (actually "Final Appeal") but there was a movie about the Jeffrey MacDonald case. It was many years ago and I remember seeing only part of it.

It was made from the perspective of his wife Collette's parents. I think it came out after Fatal Vision was published and well before UM presented his case.

Was Karl Malden in it? I thought he was in a movie about the MacDonald case.
