I saw "Modern Family" last night on ABC, with Shelley Long as the guest star. She was cast as the mother of character played by Julie Bowen.
Personally that is perfect casting - I would have cast Shelley as Julie Bowen's mother. Shelley was my crush 27 years ago; and Julie was my crush 5 years ago on a great show called "Ed."
