I think that 8 years old is when children are a bit more mature. They aren't as easy to fool....... I think I read a study that said in the 90's, the age that parents told their children that Santa isn't real was 10. In 2000s, that age is now 8 when their parents tell them the truth about Santa. I think the study also said that most kids stop getting bedtime stories at 8. Also, on messageboards, I've read a few "Even at 8 years old , I knew that was wrong,"(about various topics.) Is 8 the new cut the crap age?

8 year-olds do seem a lot more mature these days as opposed to when I was a kid, and it's only been 20 years since I was 8.

I remember a parody I read as a high schooler in class. Red Riding Hood of the 2000s saw the Wolf dressed in Granny's clothing, and he was trying to trick her. She took out a shotgun and she shot the Wolf..... The moral read something like , "8 Year Olds aren't as easy to fool as they used to be."

WHATT???? There's no:santa2: ??????????? :faint:

   :joke:

I can't remember how old I was when I found out there was no Santa Claus (maybe 10) but I know I was in the 4th grade. It actually traumatized me a little. Imagine being made fun of because of something you really and truly believed in. To this day I'm ticked at the witch that told me the truth in the cafeteria!

I really need to get a life, don't I?

Finding out there's no :santa2:was just as bad to me as if I had found out that my parents had adopted me.

It's sad that they don't let kids be kids anymore.

I actually didn't learn the truth about Santa until I was 11 or 12, mainly because my sister is 5 years younger than me. It was such a shock :(
