The Hallmark Channel has officially wigged out. They are showing 6 hours....yes, 6 hours of "I Love Lucy" every weekday. I mean, who the hell watches that much "I Love Lucy" in one sitting?!

They no longer air "Touched by An Angel" at 7:00 p.m., or a movie.

Who else is agitated about this?

I agree -- I love Lucy but not that much!

There are so many terrific shows from the 60's, 70's and 80's that could be shown instead -- Hallmark needs to do better by its audience!

Not only are they overairing it but they go from airing it once a week at like 230 AM to airing 7 hours of it every single weekday. It's one of the strangest channels - they either over or underair all their shows at some point or another.

their no such thing is too much lucy. just rember couple months ago it was one day at 2:30am in the moring. at lest we get decent hours. i do they that they might need to cut back a little bit.

AMEN! I love to watch the show, but sorry, I'm not watching it for 5 hours every day. It's insane to air one show for 5 hours when there are at least 3 more shows that could air some. What I don't understand about them is when they add a show/bring it back they have to pull one so there's plenty of room to overkill. They make no sense.

Mystery Sunday, and it was fantastic. Columbo, McMillan and Wife, McCloud, Kojak, Hawaii Five-O, and some other random shows. They also did Rough and Ready Saturday, which had a ton of good westerns.

Loved Mystery Sundays--especially when it was a show not completed on DVD.

We would be less likely to complain if Hallmark was:
* airing a multiple-episode block of a rare gem that has never seen the light of DVD release--like Courtship of Eddie's Father, Nanny & The Professor, Mayberry RFD, to name a few.
* airing episodes of shows that never got completed on DVD--Bob Newhart Show, Green Acres, All in The Family, My Three Sons, etc.
* showing uncut versions of programs--like airing 5 uncut episodes of My Three sons (at roughly 25.5 minutes each) in a 3-hour block. The programs would not begin or end in a traditional half-hour block, but the network could get in all their commercial time and we could see every second of sage advice from Steve Douglas!

The Facts Of Life was on Hallmark years ago but it got pulled for some reason.

After seeing the ratings yesterday, I knew it would be pulled. The problem with any situation comedies on Hallmark, They butcher the shows. We had Lucy on at dinner the other night and my 16 year old said, Dad, they just cut out the best part...they are taking a 25 minute show and airing it in 20 minutes or less. They cut 5 minutes per episode. The other problem and I learned this years ago from NY TV, When the bring I Love Lucy back, they start from the beginning. The best episodes rarely get aired. The first season, yes it's a classic but it looks very old, the writing was not the absolute best. Maybe it's just my opinion. The 2nd season through the end was superior. Hallmark is famous for knee jerk reactions in minutes and that's why you never know what's on the channel. They should get out of the situation comedy business and stick with 1 hour shows or movies.

Wasn't in on for like a week? :lol: I remember The Facts of Life and Family Ties being pulled ridiculously fast.

FOL ran for one cycle on TriggerFingerMark.........and I hated they way they showed the episodes----the opening scenes, then the intro.........made no sense and ruined the flow of the episodes.

Ew yeah, they did mess up FOL real bad. It wouldn't really fit on the channel today.

If they want to add more sitcoms, IMO, Mama's Family should be their #1 pick. It would go with The Golden Girls SO EXTREMELY WELL. Those two shows were practically made to air back-to-back.

I think The Wonder Years would be brilliant. It's sort of a dramedy, and fits well with the sitcoms and dramas they have. And the theme of the network.

Obviously sitcoms can work well for them, as MASH and The Golden Girls definitely have. Even Designing Women would be interesting to see with GG.

Hallmark Channel is just as bad as TVLAND and Nick-at-Nite with the constant schedule changes every few days. Enough is enough! Even the local Community Access Station has better scheduling policies than these network. The CA Station has a set schedule that runs for 13 weeks.

I also wish that the night time Golden Girls block on Hallmark Channel would air 12AM-3AM or 8PM-11PM instead of 11PM-2AM because Nick-at-Nite runs The Nanny at 11PM (and now apparently at 12AM too). I like both shows and due to my financial situation I can't afford a DVD Recorder or DVR. It was better before when both GG and The Nanny were on the same channel.

i like Hallmark, but boy do they change their lineup a LOT!

Fortunately I like Lucy so if they show it alot it won't bother me one bit, in fact I'll enjoy it. I sure hope they don't pull it. There aren't enough of the old show son tv these days. I'd rather watch it & Golden Girls, than any of todays stuff or the newer stuff. I gotta agree. I hate how the Nanny is opposite Golden Girls. I like both & it's hard to decide which one to watch. Last week they had Lucy on opposite Patty Duke re-runs on World Harvest so I couldn't watch it due to watching Patty Duke. Or maybe it was Bewitched on WGN that was on opposite Patty Duke & I had to miss it due to watching Patty Duke. All the good shows are on at the same time. I had to miss watching it due to seeing Patty Duke as either Lucy or Bewitched whichever one it was had more eps on in the day whereas Patty Duke only is on once a day & is probably the rarer shown show. Gimme the old shows any day! :)

That's where the Patty Duke reruns ended up - World Harvest TV? Isn't that one of those family-oriented religious-type networks? *shudders* A great show like Patty Duke deserves better treatment than that.

Yeah, WOrld Harvest is a Christian station but it's a good one. They show some other old good shows like Lassie, The Lone Ranger and the Rifelman and some old b&w movies. THey used to some yrs ago show some other good old shows like The Mothers In Law, Ozzie & Harriet, Danny Thomas, Real McCoys, Blondie (50's one) Ann Southern < Beverly Hillbillies and Andy Griffith. Wish they still showed those on there...

Actually, that channel is treating Patty Duke Show quite well--they are airing the episodes completely uncut! And the copies are nice and clean. I have been DVR-ing it for a while and copying them to DVD.

That is SO true, JT. I rented a bunch of LHOTP episodes and also DVR'd them in the hopes of putting my favorites on DVD (instead of buying the whole seasons, since I don't like every episode) and I literally made myself sick of it. That was probably over six months ago, and I'm just now getting to where I can watch it again.

Hallmark seems to be owned by the same people who own TV Land. Their programming is nuts....I would rather see I Love Lucy 6 hours a day than MASH which I simply hate. I never understood the big deal about that show. Hallmark needs to allow time for viewers to get accustomed to a new schedule or they face the same fate as TV Land
