According to ProFootballTalk, Browns quarterback Brady Quinn’s house is for sale. Quinn, a 2007 first-round pick, was benched during a week 3 loss to the Broncos. Even though backup Derrick Anderson threw three picks, Quinn’s benching stayed permanent. And even as Anderson abysmally completed only 2 of 17 passes for 23 yards in this past Sunday’s win, Quinn is still the backup.
Faster Take: It’s likely Quinn’s benching is money-related. The Browns aren’t going anywhere this year, and Quinn receives nearly 12 million in bonuses if he plays 70 percent of the offensive snaps. By sticking with the mediocre Anderson, the team is signaling that Quinn isn’t in their future plans. This could be a sign that Quinn has heard rumors that he’ll be traded before this week’s deadline.
