Hey, I just got to wondering. If and when season 2 of The Lucy Show is released do you think it will be in Color or in Black and White?

Hopefully, they'll use the original color negatives for the episodes instead of the original broadcasts of the episodes since the first part of the season was broadcast in Black and White.

Do you think they'll be able to use the original color negatives of the episodes or will they have to use the black and white broadcast versions of some episodes if the originals aren't in very good shape or have been distoryed or somthing? Please let me know. Thanks.

My guess (or hope anyway) is that the show will be released in color w/ the original season 2 opening (not the season 4-6 kaleidoscope used for all color seasons, and sometimes B&W, in syndication). I have really enjoyed seeing season 1 on DVD, w/ all its extras, and I hope that the same level of excellence will carry forward to season 2. Unfortunately CBS DVD has a bad habit, especially apparent in its Brady Bunch releases, of only including extras for season 1 of its series. If season 2 meets the standards of season 1, I'll certainly get it as well.

The masters are in color so there is no reason to expect the release won't be in color either.

i'm sure the original season 2 opening will be restored. They will just modify the end music part to eliminate the "brought to you by".......however if they do like season 1, we will get to see some vintage openings with the sponsor part intact.
