Two weeks ago, I had my first date in over two years. I went out with my middle school crush, and someone who I hadn't seen in over 14 years, Andrea. I had been searching for her for the last 7 years via myspace, classmates.com, through some website dedicated to finding old acquaintances, heck, I even tried google and yahoo, but it was to no avail. Fortunately for me, I recieved a friend request on facebook about four months ago, and when I saw who it was from, I nearly pissed myself. It was Andrea. :D Well, two weeks ago we got together, and went out on a date. First thing I did when I saw her was think, damn she is gorgeous, before giving her a huge hug. It was such a beautiful night that we walked up to Giuseppes. Since she's Italian, I figured that would be a good place to go. We spent about an hour and a half eating, laughing, and just catching up on things, It was such a blast. She was going to pay for her own dinner, but I told her that I never have a woman pay, and so I payed for the both of us. When we got home, I thought about kissing her goodbye, but I knew it wasn't the right time. Cool thing is that she asked me if I wanted to go out with her again soon, and I accepted. Next time we're going out drinking. Anyway, it was a great re-introduction to the dating world, and I can't wait to see her again. Here's a couple pictures of her. I just love showing her off!!! ;)

What a great story!! And I'm so glad you had a great date. Isn't it nice when you find somebody you have so much in common with to where you can spend dinner laughing and having a great conversation!!! I hate when you hook up with somebody and you're at dinner and you can't seem to carry on a conversation with each other. I'm glad somebody's dating life is going well.

The last "date" I was on? Sadly, it's been so long, I don't remember. After my last relationship, I was so over it all, and wanted to give myself a break. Not that there haven't been a few guys who have shown interest. I'm just don't seem to be interested. Flattered but not interested.

She is beautiful, Brad!

Myself, I haven't been on a date in a long, long, long time. Dating made me feel so uncomfortable that I simply decided not to go on anymore for awhile. Instead I focused on my career, which has proven to be a very smart move. Maybe I'll get back into the dating game again... maybe not. Honestly, I love being single. :)

Andrea is gorgeous, Brad.. I must say. ;)
I hope you guys get a chance to have that next date soon. I'm glad you're getting back on the dating scene.:)

As for me... I've never been on a date where I felt any significant attraction toward the guy... I'm sorry, I'm just hoping someday, it'll come along. There are guys who've shown interest in me, but like Phoebe said, I don't feel the same way, just flattered is all. It's strange how things work out that way.

Glad to hear you had a great time. Brad. Andrea seems like a sweet woman and I'm sure you agree.

As for my last date, that would be 8 years ago. At this point, it doesn't appear that streak will be ending anytime soon.

My last date was over a year ago. I went to a New Year's party with this guy I'm acquainted with. It was a lovely evening, but the two of us just didn't click. I doubt I'll ever find Mr. Right :(

My last date was yesterday with my boyfriend. We went to Applebees, then hung out at his house. Kinda casual.

my last date was in Dec. 2004 before I met Marvin. He was the ice cream vendor from the Walgreens I worked at. He was a nice guy. A gentleman. He was good looking as well. Not overly attractive - average, but groomed well and trim, though he was 10 years older than me.

We went to chilli's for a drink and an appetizer and then went to see polar express at the movie theatre afterward. it was pleasant but i think he was shy, we were both shy and there was no chemistry, i was also still hung up on my ex. i don't think we kissed good night, maybe a quick hug and a cordial goodbye. i didn't see him after that, i think it was a week before christmas when we went on this date and i quit walgreens soon after. we had never exchanged numbers and had made our plans for the date when seeing each other at the store so i never heard from him again.

my first date with marvin and i guess my last official date before entering a relationship(we never dated really, we just hung out)was when marvin took me to the casino. he took me to a nice restaurant in the casino and bought me a steak dinner and then we played the slots. i won like $400 on one and spilt it with him. i wore this black halter cocktail dress and these clear lucite high heels with black glitter strap over the toes. (marvin called them my cinderella shoes)

Thanks so much everyone for your sweet compliments on Andrea!!! :D It made my day reading them, and I know it would make her as happy as a clam. I lol'd at your words Mickey. You're right, I am a lucky bastard for having her back in my life. I seriously hope that a relationship with her happens, because like I said, I've had a crush on her since I was 14, and the crush is even stronger now. I'll never forget that night when I was fifteen, and she was fourteen when we snuck out of our houses at midnight, and spent the night together. We were all cuddled up together to keep each other warm, and then she layed next to me as I had my arm around her, and in other places as well. ;) We spent 6 hours just being together, and having some good times, and I seriously hope that we have times like that together in the future. She is an absolute doll, and I will treat her very well. The few relationships she's been in have been with scumbags who treated her like ****. The last guy she was with bought two or three motorcycles on her credit card, then dumped her, never paying her back. She has such a huge heart, and I will show her that there are guys out there who will treat her very well!!

Thank you all for sharing some of your dating stories. I'm sorry though to hear that many of them weren't good. :( First of all, Kristen, you're adorable, and I know you'll find a guy someday who will adore you. Like I said, if you lived in Portland, I'd go out with you in a split second. To Mattie, I can relate with you on the whole not connecting with people thing. I get many date offers, but rarely do I feel the same way about them as they do me. If you lived in Oregon though, I'd hope you'd give me a chance. I just see you as being the perfect girl for me. W'ere just so much alike, and I think we'd be a good match. Even if we didn't have a romantic connection, I know we'd be friends for life, and we'd still have amazing times together. Btw, you're the first younger woman who I've ever had feelings for, so just know that you're the one who made me decide to give girls my age or younger a chance. You're just wise beyond your years, and most importantely you have a heart which matches your beauty, which means the most to me. ;) To Tara, thank you so much for your kind words about Andrea. :D You're right, she is gorgeous, but as you know, I believe you're the most beautiful woman on the planet. As you also know, you're the first person I ever had an online crush on. I never imagined in a million years that I'd ever have an online crush, and I never did for nine years, but then I met you, got to know what an amazing person you are, and it just happened. I'm still crazy about you, and am still doing everything I can to come and visit you in San Diego. I love you to death!!!!!!!

I noticed your post, and was going to respond to it. I noticed you on Andrea's friends list, and I wondered how the two of you met? So I asked her in a chat, how did you meet Jack, and she said he invited me to be his friend, and he seemed like a cool person, and I said yes, Jack is awesome. On our date she mentioned you, and said she thought you were a really funny guy. I said yeah, he's hilarious, and that's probably the thing he's most known for on the message board we both visit. Then she asked how long I knew you, and I said, atleast six years. But yeah, she has had nothing but good things to say about you, and thinks you're a cool guy. She's right too!!!

I'm sure everything will turn out well. Unfortunately, many good people(men and women alike) end up with the wrong person. Andrea seems like a great person and I'm sure she thinks just as highly of you, as she should.
