I finally bit the bullet and bought the first season.:blush: Well, I figured that since I was buying on dvd every other old show I used to watch, I may as well get one of my all-time favorites, Mama's Family.
It is nice to see the picture clearer than the episodes I have on tape. My old tapes are getting pretty ratty and fuzzier-looking all the time.


Oh, and I will sign the petition to get the second season on dvd. Cut up or not. :)

Now, here's to Mama's Family coming out in Blu-ray! Yeah!!! That would be something!:thumbsup:

I was thinking the same thing. People putting up a big fuss makes me wonder if thats why they are waiting so long to release more of the Seasons. At least the DVD is somethin- and frankly its what we would see on TV. Im not quite old enough to remember the unedited version, as I was about 3 years old when the show first aired- though I remember watching it even back then because my family would all gather around the tube and watch Mama.

I dont know much about Blu-Ray- but Im glad I have Mama. Id settle for VHS, DVD, or whatever. Most of the VHS tapes of Mama are still in pretty good shape being 5 or 6 years old already. Sometimes the picture can be "warmer" on vhs tape than dvd. I sure cant wait for Season II to come out- and I hope they include "Gert Rides Again".
