I am not a member of the Shout Factory community message board...but was wondering if anyone has inquired as to whether "The Christmas Story" scheduled to be released on Nov. 3 on a compilation of Christmas episodes will again be missing the nearly 1 minute heartwarming ending scene of Kathy pretending her teddy bear is alive as he winks at her. This scene was shown countless times on TV Land only a few years ago, yet was cut from the official Shout season one set.....with the episode being released again, here is the opportunity for Shout to "release it right".
I hope it is not cut, this time. Of all the scenes in that episode, it was a crime to cut that one at the end. ARRRGGGGHHHH !!! I am still not happy about that . . . can you tell?
A friend just sent me a link to a thread on their board where he asked the very same question. While his other questions were addressed, that question did not get an answer, so I suspect, "it is what it is".
The good news is that originally he suggested they add the Christmas episode of "Window On Main Street" to this Christmas release and was told it was being reserved for a possible later FKB season release. Now, it is included :)
