Will Louie Anderson's Family Feud be renwewed for a third season (2001-02)?

I'am almost sure that ABC is showing Family Feud a green light to do a 3rd season.

In a past Entertainment Weekly they had an ad on for Family Feud saying something about new episodes.

I dont think it will be renewed because they are adding a new game show called "CARD SHARKS". And Where did you hear it was on ABC?

Card Sharks is an old 1970's show that airs in reruns on Games Show Network. That would be cool if that was renewed.

Family Feud is syndicated - it can be on ABC, CBS, NBC, or any local channel...

They are making a new version of Card Sharks for next year, but to me it doesn't sound like it's going to be like the original in a few ways (but what's new, Pearson ruins every game show they get their hands on). They want to do this man on the street thing. Why I don't know, I guess for the survey part of the show (you know, we asked 100 women if they've ever cheated on their husbands, etc). As for feud, wouldn't break my heart to see it cancelled. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Family Feud, it's my favorite show, but I HATE the new version a lot. Dawson was a wonderful host, Combs was a great replacement, Anderson looks like he doesn't even want to be there. The chances of it coming back are very good. I haven't heard any news on it being cancelled. From what I've heard it does pretty well.

No, I'd didn't mean Louie didn't want to do it anymore, he just looks bored. Richard and Ray had so much spunk and Louie, well..... doesn't (IMO). I'm prejudice. Richard's my favorite. They should get renewed because recently they came close to cracking the 3 million mark, which they say is good.

I have never liked Louie Anderson much. Dawson was the best (lol, Dawsongirl, I actually thought your sn was a reference to DAWSON'S CREEK before this) and Ray Combs was also good too. What a tragedy (he committed suicide a few years back). But even as a kid in the 80's, I always thought of Louie as a sore second-rate John Candy.

I watched Coming to America a few weeks ago, and I kept thinking, Louie is kind of a dork. John Candy was always much funnier. I'll probably step on toes saying this, but whatever. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

CBS is coming with a new primetime Game Show called "Shafted" or something

Sorry to all you people who dislike Louie but I think he is the best family feud host! They way he aid libs jokes that just crakes me up. Also I like the way he interacts with the families he is very good. I hope they keep the show on it's my favorite game show It the only one I watch!

Me! No, I'm just kidding, though that might be fun for a week. I'm not sure who would make a good host, but the trend seems to be comedians. I've got tunnel vision and can't think of a soul.

I tried giving Louie a chance in the beginning, but in one episode one of the contestants called him Bubba or something by accident (it wasn't Bubba, but I can't think of what it was) and he said to them, you can call me whatever you want, just don't call me Richard. Struck me the wrong way and I've disliked him ever since. Maybe I'm a little sensitive, but it made me mad.

Oh, and if he says "We surveyed 100 waitresses who asked us if we wanted coffee with our answer" (or the like) one more time I'll scream! Funny the first time, now being beaten to death.

Brett, it's confirmed. Family Feud HAS been renewed--along with To Tell the Truth and the new Card Sharks hosted by Pat Bullard will debut this fall. Here's the news.

Yes! I am so glad that Card Sharks is coming back. I saw the 80's version with Bob Eubanks and taped the last episode in 1989. I didn't know there was a 70's version until the Gameshow network started airing it. Yes The Fued, Card Sharks and some other new game show.

Family Feud is being renewed for another season. The fast money jackpot will be increased to $20,000 and a FF logo will be on the floor of the stage (like on Combs's version).

Uh...no. I bashed him as a bad host because he was. I couldn't care less if he was a six-inch tall green martian, he was still a bad host. Sexual orientation has NOTHING to do with it.
