The Treehouse of Horror will be the 20th Treehouse of Horror episode in The Simpsons 21 years/seasons on television. The episode is scheduled to air October 18th 2009 on FOX.
The episode will feature three segments:
- "Dial M for Murder or Press the Pound Sign to Get the Operator"- Bart and Lisa become involved in a murder scheme that parodies the Alfred Hitchcock films Psycho and Strangers on a Train.
- A segment that features elements of the films 28 Days Later and Children of Men where Krusty the Clown serves hamburgers made from "mad cows" and turns the citizens of Springfield into zombies.
- Homer's blood becomes a secret ingredient in a new beer brewed by Moe. It will be a Sweeney Todd-inspired musical segment.
