This article had me thinking. Why do we drool over size 0's that are basically skeletons? The majority of women are no where near a size 0. I believe average is a size 6. Personally, the most attractive women are no less than a 6, some even in double digits.

On the other hand, people call me skinny. I'm 6'2" 165 lbs. My waist is only 30 inches, so that makes me look even thinner. Not long ago, it hit me. The majority of the United States is overweight. In the most obese states, the rate is roughly 1/3. That means 1 in 3 are at least 50 pounds overweight in those states(generally southern states).

I don't know about ya'll, but I personally don't understand the love for size 0's. These women make me look like Ronnie Coleman and I'm pretty thin myself.

But, there is a positive note here. Women that are more normal sized, are getting some love. It's really amazing how shallow our society is.

Anyone inspired by the article like I am?

Plus sized models are a good thing. I think women need to see more of them, so they can see that its alright to be a bigger person, and you dont have to be some skinny boney person to be perfect. Frankly I do not find these small boney skinney girls who look like they never eat attractive. It makes me want to take them to McDonalds and then Dairy Queen to put some meat on them.

Agreed 100%. It's simply not healthy. You don't see male models looking that thin.

This is why people are into the likes of Christina Hendricks or Kim Kardashian- they have real curves, not skeleton-thin bodies.

I can't easily imagine seeing a 6 foot, size 0 woman in person like so many of the models. It just can't look natural. Hell, I'm a size 5/6 and people tell me I'm tiny, but someone who's even skinnier AND taller? I just don't understand how that's ideal when it comes to fashion, etc. I think it's nice to see people of a normal size in magazines. That's why I love Glamour. It kicks Cosmo's ass.

It's because most people are overweight and people in a normal weight range are called skinny and told to gain weight. 6'0" 120 pounds is not normal. I'm 2 inches taller and nearly 50 pounds heavier and look fairly thin. I can't picture 6'0" 120 pounds.
