Tina Cole was a major babe! I think she was perfect in every way.

Looking back on my pre-teen years, Tina was one of the first girls who made me think "Wow, girls are cool!" Of course, I saw her on an episode of "My Three Sons". Robbie was a very lucky guy!

AGREED, AGREED, AGREED! She definately made me discover there was something very cool and interesting about women when I was quite young watching the series...lol......I definately knew I liked when Katie was on screen, just didn't really understand why????

It was exactly the same for me. I also liked Janet Margolin a lot when I was a kid. I can't remember if I first saw Janet on TV or in a magazine picture, but I loved her the minute I saw her. Janet was petite, like Tina, but she was a brunette.

She was just on CBS This Morning with Stan and Barry Livingston talking about the show yesterday (Don Grady joined in via satellite from LA). Tina looks almost exactly the same.

Wasn't she the actress married to Ted Wass at the time of her passing?

Yes that's correct. Janet died 6 days before what would have been their 14th wedding anniversary.

Thanks for clarifying that. I think that was also around the same time the Bill Bixby (who was directing Ted Wass' show Blossom) passed on.

They died about a month apart. Bill Bixby died on November 21, 1993 and Janet Margolin died on December 17, 1993.

Here's a good look at Tina from the years prior to MTS. This is from her work on Hawaiian Eye, one of the Warner p.i. series where she had a regular role as "Sunny Day:"

I think Bewitched fans will notice how her makeup and hair are reminiscent of how Liz Montgomery looked in the very early '60s.

She was married to actor Ted Wass (Soap, Blossom) until her passing in 1993. Her brother, Stuart, played Angel on The Rockford Files. She was never on My Three Sons, but here are her credits:

You can watch Janet in this clip from Woody Allen's "Take the Money and Run". She's the girl with the long brown hair. You'll need to fast-forward a little bit, because her scene starts at the 6:00 mark.

Tina Cole was a real cutie and, to me, a great example of what I term a "60's (1960's) Girl" with her dressed in skirts, sweaters and with her bouncing hair.

Later on, when in the show she is pregnant with what was going to be triplets, she is shown in some nice-looking maternity outfits. Remember that wasn't too long after showing an actress who was really expecting was not permitted on TV - or the word "pregnant" could not be said.

I've always remembered a very good scene that Tina plays with Fred McMurray that takes place shortly after "Katie" married "Robbie". She is upset that she never learned to cook because before her marriage those duties were handled by someone else. McMurray (as Steve Douglas) points out it was the same thing after he had married his late wife and all she knew how to fix were Spainish rice and prunes. He then explains that he and she were so much in love that it didn't matter and, in time, she became a great cook. That calms Katie's concerns. It may be one of the few (or maybe only) father to daughter-in-law talk in TV history.

Tina was equally cute when she appeared as one of the "King Cousins" on the King Sister's TV show dressed in a mini-skirt and go-go boots.

Tina also reminds me of Melissa Joan Hart, who played 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.' (Or, I should say, Melissa reminds me of Tina.)

Yes,she is beautiful. And did you know that she was featured in some ABC/Black and White Bryant Park episodes-I think in 1964-1965 episodes on ABC and some 1965-1967 CBS/Color Bryant Park episodes as Robbie's OTHER girlfriends?

He was one of Chris' friends on the beach in the episode "Lucy the Chaperone".
From My Three Sons, Tina Cole, Don Grady, Barry Livingston and of course, William Frawley all appeared in The Lucy Show at one time or another.

And I might add to that -- the fact that Fred MacMurray guest-starred in an episode of The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour.

I remember on The Lucy Show when Lucy tried to give Barry Livingston's character a haircut. Yikes -- not good!

Good point about Fred MacMurray. And here's another, Beverly Garland appeared on Here's Lucy.

I first remember Tina as one of The King Family. There were so many blondes on that show---but she stood out! She sang quite a bit on "The King Family Show" and alot with her sister. I think her sister's name was Cathy. During the Top 20 segments (when all the teenagers sang the hit songs of the day) they all wore their names on their sweaters like the Mouseketeers!!

No -- her birth name is Christina Yvonne Cole. The King Family was on her mother's side.

Tina and Cathy looked somewhat alike in those old black & white shows so I'm glad they had their names on their sweaters. I liked them wearing the go-go boots, too.

Tina is a really sweet person. As for Janet Margolin, she had 3 sisters, no brothers. Too bad she was taken so soon. Always enjoyed her work.

Tina is coming out of retirement. She's going to be singing again with The 4 King Cousins and she's also going to be acting. She has a facebook fan page https://www.facebook.com/TinaYvonneCole She's very active on it and talks to her fans personally. Check it out!
