People have been speculating about this crap. I am just curious to see what people's opinions on the topic are, not to scare anybody or w/e. People are speculating that the world will end December 21st 2012, at 11:11 pm. What are your thoughts and opinions on the subject?

The Bible says no one knows the time when this world will come to an end. So when anyone names a specific time and date you can be certain they're wrong. I say the best plan is to live each day as if it's your last.

i think this 12/21/12 theroy has pretty much been proven wrong from what i've read.

It also ended in 1982, because I was in the 8th grade. Hope I'm doing the math right, there. Anyway, I remember being in class and people saying that the world was going to end at 3pm. Man, was I scared! :lol:

I don't think the world will end in 2012 - I hope it doesn't, anyway. Some New Agers, however, think that during the year there may possibly be some sort of shift in global consciousness. I think there has been gradual spiritual progression throughout the last decades, so I think that idea is possible.

These people are just on some really good crack -- I'd like some of what they've been smoking, because DAMN are they ever deluded! :cuckoo :crazy:

I also have a feeling these same people just want to die on that date... in which case, they should have killed themselves ages ago, if they really want to die that badly. ;)

Theoretically, the world was supposed to end on 6/6/06 (June 6, 2006) with the release of the previous Slayer album "Christ Illusion", but that album's release was actually postponed by a few weeks. But their new album, "World Painted Blood", should hit the stores in a few weeks. Then you should know, the End is at hand................... :eek:

The story goes that the ancient Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world will occur in 2012 with various calamities and disasters. Assuming that they were going by the Gregorian calendar (before the introduction of Christianity into the New World, of course).

I find it funny how some religious groups have made and continue to set dates as to when the world will end. I have heard 1864, 1918, 1975, ect. Yet when they these dates come and go, they claim that the past teachings "don't matter anymore" and they are following something new.

It's similar to one of the weekly trash tabloids (can't remember which one) that claimed in the early 1990's that Elvis was going to come out of hiding on January 1. When January 1 came and went without this happening, they brushed it off the following week by saying he had to "cancel the appearance because he wasn't feeling well." :rolleyes:

The bible clearly states that no one knows the day or the hour the Lord is going to appear again.

It was said the world would end on Y2K, and that the world would be thrown into the dark ages cause all computers would fail and all that jazz :rolleyes:

No one knows but God himself. The bible does give signs to look for though

I don't believe in any of that stuff. I believe in the Bible and that Jesus will return when He feels like returning.
