Always great to see your team get a win no matter who your playing...

Going into this game I was honestly a little concerned..I saw what the chiefs did in week 1 against the ravens.. They put up some big numbers against one of the best defenses in the league... I thought this game today was going to be a grind it out eagles pull away in the fourth quarter type of game...

Well the 2011 eagles stepped up & in a very big way... Thats right I said the 2011 eagles.. What I was watching from my perch at the linc this afternoon was the future of my football team... I have to say The future looks very bright... Let me start with Kevin Kolb.. I have been very hard on this kid since he has been on my team and I think alot of my criticism has been unfair & it was me speaking after a bad loss (baltimore last year) where he came in & looked absolutely awful... What I always seem to forget about the Nfl is the fact that when your the 2nd string you get virtually no reps with the first string offense & that can make all the difference sometimes & it really has paid off with Kevin Kolb... This man can play the game.. Period End. He showed me some stuff last week & he improved big time this week.. His ability to read defenses his quite amazing... From my seat I have the perfect view of how these plays develop & today Kolb showed alot of poise and he found the open reciever with pin point accuracy... I was very impressed with his performance...

That brings me to Desean Jackson... This kid is the REAL DEAL FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY Andy gets it right with a wr draft pick... This kid can do it all & he is one of the fastest guys I have seen play this game in a long time... He had a play today where he broke 2 tackles & took it to the house.... He has matured in a very big way since last year & the sky is the limit with him


Jeremy Maclin... I am not Sold on this kid Just yet, but today in his first start as a pro, he stepped up as well.. Had an unbelievable catch along the sidelines right in front of me that I cant wait to watch the tape on tonight... He is fast & he is a great kid... Real good head on his shoulders....


Brent Celek... I dont need to remind fans of the cowboys & giants what this kid can do... 2nd straight game over 100 yds for him & if you throw is way HE CATCHES IT!!!! Great game for him..First time in 61 years an eagles tight end had back to back 100+ yd games....


Shady Mccoy.... The man is a beast... He is Brian Westbrook with a little more pop... I was thrilled when they drafted him & he is going to be a player in this league for many years to come!!!!


It is my belief that opening day 2011 will feature the names I mentioned above & I am very pleased to say the eagles have a bright bright future..



Defense was solid today..Like I said Above the chiefs cant be too bad on offense if they put 30+ up on the ravens D & the eagles were back to the blitzing ways today & really gave Cassell no chance at all...


AFter 3 weeks I thought the eagles would be 2-1 & thats where they are 2-1... BUCS, RAIDERS, REDSKINS the next 3 games before the showdown with the giants on November 1st..



If anyone is wondering what the reception was like for Michael Vick... I would say it was about 80% cheers & 20 % boos...

I said what I had to say to him during warmups..He heard me LOUD AND CLEAR & i feel better about myself!!!!!

I will enjoy this bye week...it comes at a good time...2 weeks from today I think 5 will be back under center and 36 will definitly be back!!!

God what a different ride home for me today compared to last week!!

I cant even begin to tell you how quick he is...

mike, I definitely agree and enjoyed reading your comments on the game today. glad you enjoyed it too. a great win. but as far as the kolb issue goes, last year during baltimore is what i didn't understand, as to why you were criticizing him.

1. he had 0 starts until 2 weeks ago, so the baltimore game he had absolutely no experience, no starts, no playing time at the QB position. no time to grow. baltimore was chewing us up pretty bad, and it was out of reach before kolb came in. he was also facing the best defense, or one of the best defenses in all of football. and he was a rookie as well.

i just wanted to talk to you about that, since we are big eagles fans. ;).

Kyle I really called myself out on that one... That was the point.. I was scolding myself for jumping to conclusions about this kid... Everything I had seen from Kolb up until last week was just hidious...which is why I made the comment about getting the reps with the 1st team.. That can make all the difference...

Back to back 300+ yd games... I think the kid can play the game... And I think in sept of 2011 he will be the starter in philadelphia...

The one weakness I see with him (and I have great seats at the linc to see this) is if he gets flushed out of the pocket..He throws off his back foot & gets absolutely no zip on the ball...
