I keep estimating and counting days until I receive my Season 5 MTM DVDs!

This is the Best gift I could ask for and receive during my most favorite season of the year; autumn!

Heck, I bought Seasons 5-7 bootleg (which I just finished and they were as fantastic as I remembered), and while seasons 5 and 6 weren't too chopped up, it's still gonna be nice to have a nice box, the highest quality and uncut episodes, and maybe some extras.

So, yes, I'm still excited...the only better days are gonna be when season 6 comes out, and then season 7!!!!

I'm really excited, of course. :) Although my newfound Frasier obsession has taken some of the "edge" off my impatience. Plus Season 4 of Taxi just came out, and I thought that had less of a chance than TMTMS! And in a strange way, after all we've been through, I almost find it a bit unbelieveable that our long wait is about to come to an end. Though, as PGood stated, we're not ALL the way there yet. I'm sure when we're this close to S7, I'll be jumping otu of my skin! LOL

It's wonderful having another season of MTMS released (I understand the remaining seasons are all scheduled to be released). I hop they include commentary by the cast and behind-the scenes people as did the previous releases. Maybe MTM herself finally agreed to participate?

As a previous poster already mentioned, another season of Taxi is out. Now I just have to hope for good news on the remaining seasons of The Bob Newhart Show.

I'm looking forward to it. It will be my first time ever seeing episodes from season 5. I have only seen episodes from seasons 1-4.

Season 5 is great because it means that (hopefully) season 6 and then season 7 are right around the corner, and I always felt the the series just got better and better with each passing season.

I COMPLETELY agree. The first season was my least favorite; the seventh season was my absolute favorite. My second favorite was S6, third favorite was S5, fourth favorite was S4, and so on. The Mary Tyler Moore Show was like fine wine: it improved with age. But all along it was still fine wine.

I'm looking forward to the 5th season being released also.

I paid too much for the bootleg copies of S5, S6 & S7 when there was no hope that Fox would release them.

They were VERY incomplete and made me dream, hope and wish for the complete seasons even more than before!

The episodes that I have ever found on tv have been from S1, S2, S3 or S4.

I can HARDLY wait to get my hands on the rest of the seasons!!!

Amazon just updated the runtime to 624 minutes :D equalling 26 minutes per episode! (compared the previous listed runtime of 586 minutes) A great sign in my opinion.

can't believe i'm the first to have received season 5, since i was in new york all weekend, but it was in my mailbox when i got home today!

Just got my season5 DVD set today,loving it I love the episode when Mary is dating the pretty ski instructor,love Phyllis' reacton to Paul!

It was worth the wait!! I truly enjoyed Season 5 - bring on S6!! :cool: :D
