View Full Version : Giants, Eagles, and Ravens blow out their opponents impressively
Big C 09-27-2009, 03:55 PM In the early games, we have three blowouts.
The Giants shut out Tampa Bay 24-0, allowing only 86 yards of total offense. Absolutely incredible. (Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 104 yards, which helped me on my Fantasy Football Team). Brian, your team looked great.
Ravens blasted Cleveland 34-3. Flacco has thrown for 300+ yards twice in three games.
Eagles killed the Chiefs 34-14. Wreckless and Iggles will give us the full details in their thoughts of the game.
Absolute dominance by these three.

It's looking mighty grim for those who wanted Joe Blow to be a bust!
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 04:44 PM great game today. it meant nothing really, except that we're 2-1, but it's the chiefs too lol.
hey i'll take a win over anybody though. # 99 for Andy. one more until 100!!!!!
desean jackson and brent celek were beasts today. lol @ all the people that said kevin kolb sucks too. back to back 300 yard games!
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 04:45 PM i'm more worried about washington & minnesota. losses to some of the worst teams.
TVFactFan 09-27-2009, 04:51 PM I didn't know Tampa was that Bad or maybe the Giants are that good
Mr. Television 09-27-2009, 05:27 PM I didn't know Tampa was that Bad or maybe the Giants are that good
Probably both. The Giants are real good I think but I don't think the Bucs are that good of a team.

Yeah I'm surprised because Byron Leftwich looked so good last year.
MrCleveland 09-27-2009, 06:34 PM No surprise for the 'Browns'!

Well it looks like you have another QB controversy.
TVFactFan 09-27-2009, 08:12 PM Well it looks like you have another QB controversy.
they both stink-lol Quinn or Anderson should just go out together
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 08:14 PM Derek Anderson was 10-5 in 2007.
I have faith in him still.
dlemond 09-27-2009, 08:37 PM Probably both. The Giants are real good I think but I don't think the Bucs are that good of a team.
I agree.
This makes the Cowboys win in week 1 over Tampa look like nothing.
I know Tampa stinks right now and have no idea how good the Cowboys are.
TVFactFan 09-27-2009, 08:50 PM I agree.

That's why I didnt want to give romo any praise when he threw for 300 yds against a losing team.

When was the last time you gave Romo ANY praise?

He does the same thing with McNabb.

When did Romo do ANYTHING worth praising?

Thank you, you prove once again he is a Stupid Sports Fan
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 09:57 PM why?
lol i don't know. i was just joking around. you answered a question with a question, so I wanted to carry the tradition on. i agree about romo though.
Mr. Television 09-27-2009, 10:29 PM When was the last time you gave Romo ANY praise?
When Romo wins a playoff game, I will give him some praise. Otherwise he's an average QB who has won some games and put up some nice stats but in the end he loses as many games as he wins. Some of us Cowboy fans don't want to be 8-8 and 9-7 forever. As Tony Dorsett said, he hasn't done anything yet.
dlemond 09-27-2009, 10:29 PM When did Romo do ANYTHING worth praising?
He's had some really good games, but honestly he has not done one thing in the clutch in a game that seriously matters.
Now Donovan McNabb has certainly had his fair share of not coming through in the clutch too.
The thing I think most people dismiss, though it means nothing if he can't do it in the clutch, is how good would the Cowboys be without Romo?
Umm, not so good.

is he as bad as Quincy Carter- lol?
now that guy is the definition of "bad", Sonny  lol. I don't know how you could of put up with such a bad QB.

Romo is our best QB since Aikman. I actually supported Quincy Carter as QB over Chad Hutchinson. It seems stupid now. They were both awful. It wasn't like we had two great QBs competing for the job. lol

why do you always put Romo's faults on Donovan? Donovan has won a playoff game. Yes Donovan is not exactly the definition of clutch lol and he has 0 Super Bowls, but I don't care. He has given Eagles fans like me some of the best 9-10 years possible. Even though he is injury prone, not exactly clutch, and irrelevant when it comes to SB winning QBs, he is still a great Quarterback. You always have to get in a bad word about McNabb. Please stop.

Don't worry Sonny, we had Mike McMahon LOL.
Worst QB ever lol. Yeah I forgot about Chad Hutchinson. Their was a 3rd guy in that mix. I forget his name. He was on the Yankees, then was with Dallas and sucked.
Edit: Nevermind, I remember now. It was Drew Henson. Now Romo has to win a playoff game and he might be Danny White- lol.

We would be a 4-12 team. lol I think the Cowboys can win with Romo but the coaches have to change their philosophy. We have 3 great RBS. We should be a more balanced team. I know that's what they said they were going to do but they still throw the ball too much. When Romo's on it looks great but when he's off they should go to a more ball control offense.

Drew Henson was awful too. We even had Ryan Leaf for awhile. I don't know what Jerry was thinking with that one.
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 10:41 PM Dallas is still releasing the evil T.O. spirits out of them lol. It takes about a year or two Sonny. I forget how good or bad San Francisco was when they traded him to Philly, but the year after, when we sat him out, McNabb was out anyway and we went 6-10. The following year we did really good though, but almost missed the playoffs again lol. It's releasing the bad vibe T.O. brings to every team he goes to, and once it's out of you- you're good :) ;).
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 10:42 PM Drew Henson was awful too. We even had Ryan Leaf for awhile. I don't know what Jerry was thinking with that one.
And getting Drew Bledsoe wasn't bad, but you got him at the end of his career basically. All I remember that year as far as what Bledsoe did, was the first game vs. the Eagles. I believe Romo was starting that second game on Christmas Day in Dallas.
Mr. Television 09-27-2009, 10:47 PM I think another reason Romo get's criticized so much is that he teases us. At times he looks as good as Staubach, and Aikman and at other times he looks as bad as Ryan Leaf. I don't know how a QB can go from one extreme to another and back again.
Wreckless 09-27-2009, 10:49 PM ^ Plus his press conferences. I don't care about what he drinks, as in him drinking a Coke after the loss last week, but he seems to toy with us lol.

Bledsoe was at one time a pretty good QB but he was nearly done by the time he got to Dallas. Bledsoe wasn't that bad in the year before Romo started so at least we got one good year out of him.

People refer to him as "the QB that got knocked out by the Jets, to make way for Tom Brady."
Really messed up lol. Bledsoe was around for awhile though.

I just don't like some of his comments. Maybe he's learning though. He took responsibility after that last loss. I can only hope. lol

People seem to forget though that it was Bledsoe who won the AFC Championship game after Brady got knocked out in 2001. So if it wasn't for him, The Patriots wouldn't have had a chance to win that first SB.
icecream 09-27-2009, 11:22 PM We even had Ryan Leaf for awhile. I don't know what Jerry was thinking with that one.I'm so glad the Colts picked Peyton Manning instead of Ryan Leaf.

I know lol. I'm not the one saying that. I really think it's pathetic to look at that aspect of it, as far as the Bledsoe injury, Brady in, incident, but those same people fail to give Bledsoe credit as well lol.
