The title pretty much explains it. This thread is dedicated to you posting links of your favorite songs, and having others listen to them, and rate them from 1to 10. I will listen to, and rate every song, and I hope that others will participate as well. I will start with my favorite song, from my favorite current artist. I hope you enjoy!!! :)

I give the song a 6. :)

Thanks for posting it Courtney. I thought it was a nice song, but I don't think it's a song that I willl remember forever or anything. It had a nice melody and beat though. I actually don't listen to too much of Mariah's newer stuff, as I love her older songs like Emotions, I'll Be There, Hero, etc. Anyway, thanks again for posting!!

Beautiful song Ashlee. I'm not ashamed to admit to being a big Celine Dion fan. I even remember one of her first songs from the 1980's. It was a duet with the awesome Dan Hill. But yeah, I've been following her career virtually from the beginning, and love her. Nice to hear that she hasn't lost her touch. Thanks for posting it.

Here are two more favorites of mine. The first is my favorite song from The Cure, "Strange Attraction". The other one is my favorite song from the late, great, Rich Mullins. I give both of these songs a 10!! :D

I'm glad you liked it! Slipping Away isn't a newer song though. It was the B-side of the Always Be My Baby single in 1996. One of my favorites of hers! :)

Here's another song. Zero 7 - Destiny

It's not as known but I still like it. I'm glad you at least listened to it though :). I thought Brad was just responding to links to songs, but if we can all communicate and find music we enjoy, that we've never heard of before, more power to us :) :D.

Btw, the message in the song though was great. It's not really out their if you know what I mean, but if you dig deep and listen to the song throughout, it has a good and understandable meaning. I will explain if you want me to.

That was great. I never knew their was another version/different beginning to that song. Good song. Thanks for sharing :).

I think this thread will be easier if whoever's in it clarifies what genres they listen to. Even if their are great songs in every genre, it might make things easier. Just an idea .

Someone like Bjork, Enigma or Enya would be considered new age.

That's one of the few 2PAC songs that I haven't heard. Having Nate Dogg in it made it even better, as Warren G, and Nate Dogg are to of my favorites. My favorite song of theirs is Indo Smoke. If you haven't heard it, let me know, and I'll post the link, Anyway, this PAC song was great. Great lyrics, as well as a nice beat. Thanks for sharing it Kyle.

If I ever get married, I want this to be the song my husband and I share our first dance to. It is SO beautiful and romantic. It doesn't get better than this:

"For All We Know" (1972)

Vocals - Donny Hathaway
Piano - Roberta Flack

The Cure I give an 8 to. That's one of their slower songs. I have to say my favorite is "Burn" that was made specifically for "The Crow" soundtrack.

"Hold Me Jesus" on the other hand.... i'll give a 6. This isn't my type of music and I could tell from what I listen to we're in different music worlds... well different worlds all together possibly.. heh.

6 cause it's a good song just not what I go for.

Thanks James, I knew I could count on you to listen to them, you're a good guy, and always give stuff I share a chance. It's okay that you weren't crazy about Hold Me Jesus, I just respect you for giving it a chance!! :) Most people with different beliefs don't even give these kinds of songs a chance, but you're obviously a tolerant person, so I knew you'd give it a chance. Thanks again for checking them out James, you are awesome, and a good friend!! :D

If it sounds good I listen to it or at least try it. Beliefs have nothing to do with it. Believe it or not I actually listen to some Islam chants/prayer; I like the way it sounds.

I want everyone to know that I'm in the middle of listening to the songs I haven't listened to yet, and will rate them all tonight when I finish. Here are five rap songs that are some of my all time favorites. I want to warn everyone that these songs are extremely explicit. Some of them are so explicit that they would literally shock people, so if you don't like, or can't tolorate that, than PLEASE, I beg you, DO NOT LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I recommend these to all rap fans who can handle this stuff. I recommend these songs to all music fans who can handle this kind of content, but there's a few people who I recommend listening to them to the most. Btw, have any of you ever noticed how many people call rap music disgusting, yet those same people have absolutely no qualms about watching movies where the violence is off the charts, the sex scenes are just a step below porn, and the language in them make listening to a rap song seem tame?? That's one of those funny things in life which I've always found quite hypocritical. Anyway, I mainly recommend these songs to Kyle, PlatinumBlondeLife, Isiah Thomas, and Ramona, along with every other rap fan. Even if you've already heard some of these songs, please share your ratings, and for the ones you haven't heard, PLEASE listen to them, as they are classics!!!
