Katie Couric told the New York Times that, despite her newscast's low ratings and all of last year’s speculation that she was on the way out, she will remain as the anchor of the “CBS Evening News” until her contract expires in 2011.
She told the Times in the interview, “I think reports of my death were greatly exaggerated.”
She's also adding to her duties. The Times said CBS will announce today that Couric will showcase her interviewing skills as host of a weekly one-on-one interview webcast starting tomorrow on CBSNews.com.
