When it comes to her own life, the provocative musician hopes she is forgotten as soon as she dies.
She told Britain's Observer newspaper: "What's written about me in newspapers is usually fiction. With the press you have to learn to read between the lines.
"I don't mind if no one remembers me. If I'm going to be remembered by the fictional notes the press wrote about me, why would I want to be remembered at all?"

Well, I don't think that Yoko is going to be remembered for her great contributions to music. Her tracks on the Double Fantasy album in 1980 are truly awful, which is a shame because it features some of John's best work ("Woman", "Beautiful Boy") and if it had been a 100% John album, I think it would be regarded as a masterpiece along side Plastic Ono Band and Imagine. However, I hope that Yoko isn't remembered as the woman who broke up the Beatles, because there was so much more that contributed to their break up, but Yoko always seems to get the complete blame.

Interesting thing for someone to say, but reading the article again, I can see her point, I guess. Ever notice how all this "previously unreleased info/stuff" about people always comes out AFTER their death? The stuff coming out about Michael Jackson could fill a Webster's dictionary and don't get me started about the crap they keep coming up with about Patrick Swayze. I may be biased since I loved Patrick Swayze and only liked Michael Jackson for his music, but the stuff about Michael doesn't bother me since so much was said while he was alive. It's how the tabloids seem to be "celebrating" the fact that Patrick Swayze is "finally gone" and they can say pretty much whatever they want. Just pathetic!
Sorry for the offtopic: . I'll get off my :soapbox: now!
