All I know is the Blue Jays were eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago and I've lost all excitement for baseball this year. I'm enjoying football and gearing up for hockey!!

Oh Yeah, I still have my t-shirt that celebrates the back to back World Series wins in 1992 and 1993 and I will never forget Joe Carters walk off home run to win the 1993 series! And we still have "Doc" (although a few weeks ago it looked like he was leaving!) so I guess there's always next year! Who knows maybe this is Philly's year to win back to back!

Neither will I lol, but for different reasons. Wild Thing just couldn't hold em huh Marv? I wish their was a rematch ;). Imagine another Philly-Toronto WS. Not only would it bring popularity and variety with the US vs. Canada WS, but major markets wouldn't be in it (Philly is big, but with sports everybody talks about New York, Los Angeles/ california, St. Louis etc.) and they would be pissed lol.

I don't know Marv. It's hard to repeat. I'd love to see it but I am not betting on it, but I can't wait for the playoffs! Bring on the fall classic .

Dodgers are a real good team. I like all the players they have, but I can't stand LA Times beat writer TJ Simers who talked crap about us and disrespected Philadelphia, last year during the NLCS between the Dodgers and Phillies. Besides that, all good :D.

TJ TALKS CRAP ALL YEAR LONG.
it should be intersting if philly comes toLA for the first round.with hamels coming around and howard and manny slugging it out will be quite enertaining.
bills[PA resident] needs to step it up this time around.

yeah man, I dislike TJ very much. I've seen interviews with him, at press conferences, calling into sports shows in the past etc. and he is just a total arrogant pr1ck. Plus he has no life!

But yeah lalauver, if Philly and LA meet again in the playoffs, it'll make things very interesting ;):). Good luck the rest of the way and I'll see ya their!

Even if Joe Carter hadn't hit that homer, it would not have been a lock for the Phillies.

If they hold on, there's still a game 7.

IMO, I think these playoffs may be wide-open.

I look at the teams that are likely going to get in- Phillies, Cardinals, Rockies, Yankees, Red Sox, Angels- and there is nothing that would surprise me.

Of the eight teams that would make the playoffs if the season ended today, only one- the Dodgers- has not made a World Series appearance in this decade.

I think it would be cool if Texas went to the playoffs. I'm really a Mariners fan, but I have a special affection for my home state team! I honestly haven't been keeping up with baseball much this year, but I don't think the Mariners are gonna be contenders this year.

Yeah but we also blew another game, that Toronto ended up winning 15-14.

But that is true.

So are you picking the Dodgers to win it all? jw

No, I'm not.

Just pointing out an interesting fact.

Honestly, I don't know who to pick. I think all eight teams are capable of winning it all.

In April, I said Dodgers/Red Sox with the Dodgers winning. AL Central is not over. A Twins sweep this weekend and it's down to 1 game. They also have a 4 game set in Detroit next week.

Twins won't win it. Detroit is just a flat out better team.
