Horror classic Night of the Living Dead is being re-imagined as a 3D CGI film without George Romero’s involvement, The Hollywood Reporter writes. Night of the Living Dead: Origins will be directed by newcomer Zebediah de Soto, who also wrote the script with David R. Schwartz. The filmmakers said they wanted to bring out characters’ backstories and work on “an American-style anime.”

It's been redone twice already; one in 1990 and the one with Sid Haig from 2006... I think.

Since the film is public domain (Romero did not secure the rights after release) it can be remade by anyone at anytime.

I'll probably see it but I don't know how many times this can be redone.

I saw the 1 in 1990 Jimmy and thought it was BETTER than the original but I havent seen the 2006 one.... (Probably blows)

I saw the 1990 one first and thought THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL until I actually saw the 1960s one and didnt care for it..... One reason being they all died!!
