How cool is that?! Okay, here's the "backstory". As a AAA member (is that grammatically correct? LOL my spell check says that I spelled "grammatically wrong... TWICE!! ), I get a newsletter emailed to me. There was a link to this "company" called Azigo. The idea of it was to download it to your computer and then when you do a Google search, there will be links within the results showing where you can get AAA discounts. Example, searching for zoos in Seattle would bring up "Woodland Park Zoo" and beside that would be a AAA icon. It sounds cool, but it never worked for me. So anyway, I didn't use it much, if at all. It annoyed me because every time I would turn on my computer I'd get this huge Azigo pop up.
So about two months later I got a survey from them, wanting to know how their "product" worked. I took the survey online and at the end it says "enter your name and address for a free I-Pod." I'm thinking "Yeah, right". I did it anyway, wondering if I was going to start getting a bunch of junk mail. That was at least six weeks ago and I gave up on wondering if it would arrive a long time ago.

Well, yesterday I got another email that says that someone sent me a package and they wanted to let me know in advance. I didn't recognize the man's name but then I saw the Azigo under the company name. Sure enough, today I get a small box in the mail and inside is a green Ipod shuffle! Whoo hoo! Granted I know NOTHING about these things, but I've been wanting one (well actually a bigger one, but this one will do) for a long time! Now I can finally figure out what ITunes and all that stuff is.

Just had to share that! Kind of cool, like an early birthday present! One thing I found funny on the back of the box. It says "Like a fine pair of jeans, IPod shuffle colors may vary and over time." That makes it sound like this green one that I have is suddenly going to change to pink! Shows how much I know!

Now I just have to figure out how to work the darn thing!!!! I still have my old portable CD player!!!!

Congrats Andrea. That is awesome. Glad they rewarded you like that. IPods are nice, but hard as hell to work/figure out . Good luck and enjoy your new mp3 player!

Congrats. iPods are pretty easy to learn. Just read the manuals that come with the Shuffle. You can rip CD's you have onto iTunes.

Thanks! I'm hoping I won't have a lot of trouble figuring out how it works. I'm pretty technologically challenged when it comes to stuff like this!

PM Robyrob, he is really good with computers and technology in general. Or make another thread about it. First you need to dl ITunes, and find out what version suits the type of computer you have (Windows, Mac- and what kind of computer you have too). Good luck! I had an Ipod but lost it, so I can't help you unfortunately- sorry.

I'm sorry I didn't see your response earlier, Kyle, but thanks for the info on who to contact. I finally figured out how to download songs onto it, and I absolutely LOVE it! One thing I hate though are those tiny earphones. They don't fit right and they make my ears feel like they are bruised when I take them out, so tomorrow I am going to see if I can find some regular headphones; even if it means they'll be bigger than my Ipod!!
