I received my laptop today but discovered that Microsoft Word was not installed like Advertised

So I went on Ebay so I can buy the Microsoft Software and it was being sold for $30 and labeled "Microsoft OneNote" Is this the right thing to buy?

Good to hear that you finally got it, Are you still giving the seller negative feedback?

He ended sending me a better DELL Laptop than the one that was advertised to make up for the mixup. Only problem is the one that was Advertised had the software I needed like MS Word and Excel.

Very cool! You got your laptop! Awesome that you got an even better one than you originally planned.

Is the "better" laptop worth more than you paid for it? Meaning, is it worth it to just pay for the needed software?

Yes it is, if you could have seen me when that bell rung this afternoon. I was to ready to run down there and sign for it in my undewear-lol I throw my clothes fast enough and was out of breath by time I got there. The USPS guy was 5 secs from walking out of the building.

If it was advertised with the software, why don't you insist on getting it?

I just want to move on. He said it was installed on the one I got but it wasn't so I'm just glad the major part is over. Negative feedback was already left so my Communication with him is over.

OneNote is just the note taking program, it is NOT Word - Word is pretty expensive, even if you get it just by itself

usually the cheapest way to get it is the "Home and Student" Office bundle for $149 (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/FX102464491033.aspx)

...or you could just try the free OpenOffice suite (http://www.openoffice.org/)
