Samara Looking to Return in The Ring 3-D Sequel
Friday, September 11, 2009
By: MrDisgusting
Bloody Disgusting learned this afternoon that there is brand new "talk" of continuing on with The Ring franchise with a potential third film in 3-D.
No other details were available at this time.
Originally conceived as a trilogy (much like the Japanese originals), in the 2002 remake by Gore Verbinski, which grossed nearly $250m at the box office worldwide , a young journalist must investigate a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone in a week of viewing it.
The sequel, The Ring Two, took in over $150m.
Verbinski's remake is critically acclaimed, and in my opinion, one of the best horror films this decade. What do you think about Samara returning in 3-D?
