I could really feel how much that bug sting hurt--it was really believable for some reason.

I loved Ginger's green bug protection outfit.

Why didn't the professor do his species checking in his books before pandemonium set in? Also, what was the point of his "experiment" with the harmless bug on his arm? Had he also been testing with potentially dangerous bugs in his "taking the scientific approach to the problem"?

Was everyone going to use that bathtub? How clean could they keep it? I know they couldn't be choosy but wasn't it just made out of wood?

Could Gilligan really eat that many bananas?

It was interesting how Gilligan, at first, was intent upon helping the Professor to help the very ill castaway and then, when collecting the ingredients, he said the Professor should make the junk for himself if he wants it. What happened to the concern for the ill person?

I love the joke about the Skipper getting ready for Halloween.

What's going on with the Professor in this episode anyway? He makes a huge blunder (for which, typically, nobody blames him) in misidentifying the original mantis cani and sending everyone into a panic, seems remarkably unconcerned when he first diagnoses Gilligan's bite, and then experiments by getting potentially poisonous bugs to bite his arm? Has he been drinking tea made from fermented berries?:confused:

It's true that Gilligan seems to callously forget his promise to help the anonymous sick person. Maybe he forgot all about them at the humourous sight of the Skipper in Mrs. Howell's veil.

As for the bathtub, I'm still floored at the idea of Gilligan's taking his bath outdoors - without even some bubble-bath for modesty!

All criticism aside, though, this is one of my favourite Skipper episodes. He's so vulnerable and sweet in this story!
