It took only one week -- but the ruthless Madden video game curse struck again last night.

After making one of the sickest interceptions you're going to see all year, 2010 Madden co-cover guy Troy Polamalu went down with a sprained MCL in his knee during the 2nd quarter of last night's Steelers-Titans game.

It's no coincidence ... no fluke ... he should've seen it coming.

Players who have graced the cover of the Madden video game box have been doomed since 2002 -- Marshall Faulk, Ray Lewis, Vince Young, Shaun Alexander ... and of course Michael Vick.

The evil twist -- this year, Troy shares the cover with Arizona Cardinals superstar Larry Fitzgerald. Might be a good time to trade him off your fantasy squad...

John Madden is an evil fiend!! lol! I'm surprised players don't make it part of their contract negotiations that their picture is not allowed to be used on the cover of John Madden's video game! I hope Larry Fitzgerald's health insurance is paid up! lol!

I remember the Madden games before they had athletes on the cover, and when it was for Sega Genesis. It was awesome! I still have the game, and system. I remember like 2/3 years ago, their was still 4/5 players off the top that I could remember that were in the game BACK THEN, and still were in the NFL @ that time a few years ago lol. Junior Seau, Drew Bledsoe, a few kickers and a few others.

Fitzgerald has too many moves to get hurt

 what does that have to do with getting injured? They still tackle him, which can leave a probability of getting hurt, at any time.

In order for him to get injured he has to be caught first

In order for him to get injured he has to be caught first

So if he's in the endzone and not running, and somebody grabs his arm and snaps it, he wouldn't be injured? You act like he's untouchable just because he's fast. I understand your point their, but he still has as much of a chance at getting injured as any other WR.
