Schmoopie 09-08-2009, 10:30 PM I'll make my own list for this, but here are the ones from yours that I agree with:
I'll Do Anything For Love-Meatloaf (except listen to that God-awful song!)
I Wanna Sex You Up-Color Me Bad-I was SO happy when they were no longer popular! They were just "BAD" to me!
American Pie-Don McClean-I used to absolutely LOATHE this song, but I can tolerate it now. That's probably because I really liked Madonna's version. Sounds crazy, but I always thought the original was too "draggy" and slow... and LONG!!!
I Will Always Love You-Whitney Houston (My version would be "I Will Always HATE Whitney Houston)
I'll add one song for now... one that I CANNOT stand;
At This Moment-Billy Vera and the Beaters. OMG, I HATE this song with a purple passion! It makes me cringe whenever I hear it. I don't know why, but it's too slow and I just can't stand to listen to it. Unfortunately they used to play it ALL the time on the radio!
catlover79 09-09-2009, 12:13 AM I can't believe someone else remembers the Andy Gibb/Victoria Principal cover of the Everly Brothers classic. It is indeed cringeworthy.  Couldn't agree more with these picks:
I Will Always Love You-Whitney Houston
Ebony & Ivory-Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder
All By Myself-Eric Carmen
Dancing In The Streets-Mick Jagger & David Bowie
Walk This Way-Aerosmith and Run DMC (though I DO like the original)
I'd Do Anything For Love-Meatloaf
MacArthur Park-Richard Harris
Plus, who could forget Cactus Jack's all-time favorite () - Seasons In The Sun-Terry Jacks!!

MickeyMac 09-09-2009, 11:32 AM The creative juices are flowing. I knew there would be some on my list that people would like, but then there are tunes I like that people scratch their head at.

Yes, there are quite a few choices on your list that I really like (or can at least tolerate) and several that I'm not familiar with at all.
Zoneboy 09-09-2009, 12:28 PM How can anyone have a list of 50 worst songs of all time that doesn't include (You're) "Having My Baby"?

Not enough room, but I do hate that song.

So do I. puke:
waichingliu81 09-09-2009, 04:57 PM i agree with just about every song on that list.
phoebe7165 09-09-2009, 05:09 PM The 50 Worst Songs of All Time
50. Jack and Diane-John Mellancamp
Agreed!! With all the songs John has out, the radio stations still play this the most. Yesterday during All-Request, some lady called in and requested it. I changed the station.
48. More Than Words-Extreme
I LOVE Extreme, but I have to say, this is definitely my least favorite song from them. In fact, last time I saw them in concert, I stood for all their other songs, when I knew MTW was coming up, I sat down. I found out later other fans did the same thing.(This was an all-day festival so there were a number of other bands that day).
45. Summer of '69-Bryan Adams
Agreed!! Another that gets overplayed on the radio, even though he has so many other songs that can be played!!
44. Love In An Elevator-Aerosmith
I actually really like this song!
39. The Final Countdown-Europe
Now everytime I hear this song, I can't help but think of Will Arnett's character in Arrested Development!!
31. Wonderful Tonight-Eric Clapton
Don't like this
30. Change The World-Eric Clapton & Babyface
but I like this
29. Invisible Touch-Genesis
Agreed, especially with so many other great songs by Genesis
22. Hotel California-The Eagles
Used to love this song when I was a kid, now just turn it off when on the radio
19. Heartbeat-Don Johnson
No comment!!
17. Seasons In The Sun-Terry Jacks
Give me a S, give me an A, give me a P, give me another P, give me a Y, what does it spell?!!
15. The Living Years-Mike & The Mechanics
Give me a S, give me....oh, never mind:D
9. American Pie-Don McClean
I have to say, I like this song, too!!
4. Ice Ice Baby-Vanilla Ice
Especially when he kept claiming that the bass line in the "song" was different than the bass line in "Under Pressure".
2. I Will Always Love You-Whitney Houston
Weird, because I love Dolly Parton's version, but cannot stand Whitney's version.:puke:
Schmoopie 09-10-2009, 03:18 AM I actually like that song "Seasons in the Sun" although I wouldn't consider it a favorite by any means. My dad would never let me listen to that song and I never could figure out why. Probably because it's about death, but my instincts tell me it's because he hated it anyway!
OMG, "Having my Baby" I HATE that song! Yuch!!! Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't John Stamos sing this on Full House as a joke? I thought there was an episode where Jessie was kind of "drunk" or something and he started singing this song. This song is terrible even when he sings it!!!

Jesse sang that after he had his appendix out (!!) and was wheeled in to the delivery room as Becky was about to give birth to the twins. He was still heavily medicated and that's when he started to sing that. Don't ask me how/why I remember that.
Cactus Jack 09-10-2009, 11:57 AM Andrea, your dad has/had? excellent taste in bad songs, he was right for not letting oyu hear it
