That meant more money! I didn't understand her on that one, and George felt he had to go behind her back. You would have thought he was stealing the way she carried on. No offense to Louise, I know she was 50% of Jeffersons Cleaners too, but George was the driving force behind it, and it seemed that he could have opened many stores as he wanted to. She was so against him expanding, Louise seemed so content. She acted a little like Florida Evans on that one.

Garfieldkool you know the answer to this, it's because more stores would have took his time away from her-lol Women don't want men to give anything else more attention than them. She felt they had enough money and wanted to spend more time and more stores would prevent that.

I understand that, but hell, he had 7 stores and it seemed at times he still had time for Louise. I don't think any additional would have mattered. He did hire a general manager eventually. The Theodore Wilson character, remember?

That's why I dislike many of these sitcom wives, they are selfish. Florida Evans is a prime example. Weezy wasn't really selfish, but in this case she was.

Weezy wasn't NEARLY as self-righteous as Florida. Thank goodness.

Also Weezy wasn't nearly as driven about success and money as George. In fact I think Weezy would have been happy to stay in Queens next door to the Bunkers.

Yeah, she was more about the simple things in life.
