Stunning News While he did have the catch to end all catches in Super Bowl history, overall Tyree was very injury prone and not that great overall. TVFactFan 09-06-2009, 03:20 PM While he did have the catch to end all catches in Super Bowl history, overall Tyree was very injury prone and not that great overall. But wasn't he hurt last year? I just figured he would get one more chance Brian Damage 09-06-2009, 04:49 PM But wasn't he hurt last year? I just figured he would get one more chance Yeah, he was hurt all year. The thing is, the Giants are filled with average receivers right now, somebody had to go. TVFactFan 09-06-2009, 04:57 PM Yeah, he was hurt all year. The thing is, the Giants are filled with average receivers right now, somebody had to go. I didn't know he was with the Giants since 2003 Darren J. 09-06-2009, 05:53 PM That's all he's done since 2003. Calling him average is even a stretch. He's started only 5 of his 73 games and has never had more than 211 receiving yards. The Superbowl catch was the play of his life. It's the only good thing he's done. Wreckless 09-06-2009, 06:46 PM Yeah, he was hurt all year. The thing is, the Giants are filled with average receivers right now, somebody had to go. I don't know. I like Steve Smith Brian. But yeah, you're right. He wasn't that good, he just made an absolute perfect catch in the biggest game of his career, and he was injury prone as well. Big C 09-06-2009, 06:47 PM That's all he's done since 2003. Calling him average is even a stretch. He's started only 5 of his 73 games and has never had more than 211 receiving yards. The Superbowl catch was the play of his life. It's the only good thing he's done. If that's the only good thing he did, then that's not such a bad thing. The Superbowl catch was the play of his life. It's the only good thing he's done. Exactly. Wreckless 09-06-2009, 06:50 PM If that's the only good thing he did, then that's not such a bad thing. True. But he has done nothing in the regular season, to get to the playoffs. One great catch your whole career? It is spectacular, but Jerry Rice made like 300 great catches, compared to this guy. Brian Damage 09-06-2009, 11:30 PM True. But he has done nothing in the regular season, to get to the playoffs. One great catch your whole career? TVFactFan 09-06-2009, 11:38 PM True, that catch alone will probably get him another job somewhere. Yeah that's the only resume he needs-lol Schmoopie 09-06-2009, 11:43 PM I'm willing to bet that another team picks him up before the season starts. Maybe it will be the Seahawks! One can only hope. We need all the help we can get! Not that the team is bad, since they have won all of their preseason games, but it doesnt hurt! Brian Damage 09-06-2009, 11:57 PM I'm willing to bet that another team picks him up before the season starts. Maybe it will be the Seahawks! One can only hope. We need all the help we can get! Not that the team is bad, since they have won all of their preseason games, but it doesnt hurt! I respectfully disagree Andrea, the Seattle Seahawks right now are loaded at the receiver position. Wreckless 09-07-2009, 01:25 AM I respectfully disagree Andrea, the Seattle Seahawks right now are loaded at the receiver position. Then maybe you just sign Tyree one hour before the playoffs start, instead of having him on your roster all season . |
